CNBLUE's Lee Jung-shin to play pediatrician in new drama

CNBLUE's Lee Jung-shin is set to transform into a pediatrician. Having successfully balanced a career in music and acting, he is preparing for another major role as a doctor with impeccable credentials in an upcoming drama.

According to his agency, FNC Entertainment, on the 14th, Lee will appear in the new MBN drama 'What a Boss Wants', which is scheduled to premiere this November.

'What a Boss Wants' tells the romance between Kwon Do-hyuk, a tasteless chaebol boss searching for 'Her' within a single album, and Lee Eun-chae, an indie band vocalist who becomes an unexpected variable in his perfect life. Sunghoon and Oh Se-young will lead the series, exploring the relationship between two individuals from vastly different worlds.

Lee will play Moon Tae-kyung, a pediatrician who possesses the perfect appearance, personality, and family background. As a character embodying the "perfect man," expectations are high that Lee will showcase a charm distinct from his previous roles.

Playing a professional such as a doctor requires more than just a certain outward image; it demands a sense of stability and reliability. How convincingly Lee portrays Moon will be a key point of interest for viewers.

Lee has steadily expanded his acting repertoire, building experience through roles in tvN's 'Shooting Stars' and SBS's 'The Escape of the Seven-Resurrection'. Most recently, he expanded his reach by starring in the short-form drama 'Contract Marriage with the Devil'.

As CNBLUE's bassist on stage and an actor in front of the camera, interest is mounting to see how Lee will interpret this new role as a pediatrician.

He continues to pursue his musical career alongside his acting endeavors.

Lee remains active as a member of CNBLUE alongside Jung Yong-hwa and Kang Min-hyuk. The band is set to hold '2026 CNBLUE LIVE 〈3LOGY〉 ENCORE' at the Busan BEXCO Auditorium on September 12 and 13.

This performance is part of the '3LOGY' encore concert series that began in Seoul last January. The show aims to revisit the eight-month concert journey while delivering an upgraded stage production.

While maintaining the band's signature sound as a singer, Lee continues to challenge himself with new characters in every acting project. All eyes are on him to see how he will navigate his latest transformation into a "perfect" pediatrician.
