Go Eun-ah and sister clash again following eight-month reconciliation
Actress Go Eun-ah has entered a new period of conflict with her older sister despite having recently reconciled following an eight-month estrangement. Her brother, Mir, expressed frustration as he is repeatedly called upon to mediate the sisters' disputes.
Former MBLAQ member Mir expressed concern that the recent conflict between his sisters could last 12 months after they clashed again shortly after reconciling in February. The dispute resurfaced following an eight-month period of estrangement between Go Eun-ah and her older sister.
Actress Go Eun-ah has faced renewed conflict with her older sister shortly after reconciling. As the sisters' disputes repeat, their brother Mir has stepped in to mediate, though the parties involved appear unable to find peace. Given that the two previously cut off contact for eight months, Mir expressed concern that this latest discord might last even longer.
A recent video titled "I'm a 36-year-old married man, but I went to stop my sisters from fighting" was released on the YouTube channel Bangane. The footage captures Mir, a former member of MBLAQ, stepping in to resolve the conflict between his two sisters, highlighting the difficulties of a younger brother who must constantly monitor the situation whenever their disputes arise.
Visiting Go Eun-ah's home, Mir expressed his frustration while holding a pet dog. "Do I really have to come all this way, carrying a baby and a bunch of things, just because I heard my sisters are fighting? I'm a 36-year-old married man," he complained. He reacted with embarrassment at having to mediate his sisters' fights despite being an adult with his own family and daily life.
Go Eun-ah explained the reason for the conflict with her sister. When Mir asked, "If you've been fighting for 40 years, isn't it time to stop?", Go Eun-ah responded, "This isn't fighting; in a way, my sister was just sitting there and heard something she didn't need to hear, so she felt bad, and I apologized." While she maintains that she has already offered an apology, it appears the emotional rift between the sisters has not been fully healed.
The difficulty for Mir is not just the fact that his sisters are fighting, but the repetitive nature of the situation where they seem to contact him to take a side. "When the oldest sister and my sister fight, the feeling of the phone call is like, 'You're on my side, right?'" he said, pleading, "Don't involve 'Chul-yong' in your fights." It was an appeal to not drag their younger brother into their sisterly issues.
He also worried about the possibility of the two sisters' discord becoming long-term. "Is it like this in everyone's family? They say sisters always fight," Mir asked the viewers. He then added with a mix of laughter and concern, "The last time they fought, it lasted 8 months, right? If they fight this time, it'll go for 12 months." Although spoken jokingly, the sentiment reflected a worry that this issue might not be easily resolved, considering the previous conflict lasted as long as eight months.
Go Eun-ah had previously been estranged from her older sister for approximately eight months. They met and reconciled in February through Mir's arrangement, but the conflict has resurfaced shortly thereafter. As sisters who have been together as family for a long time, even minor emotional rifts can deepen, and narrowing the difference in perspectives after a reconciliation is not always easy.
Conflicts between family members can become more emotional due to the closeness of the relationship. This video revealed not only the conflict between Go Eun-ah and her sister but also the awkward position of Mir, who serves as the mediator. Attention is focused on whether the sisters can restore their relationship to prevent a repeat of the eight-month discord.
