Heo Kyung-hwan to his manager who overslept: "You've worked hard all this time"
During a broadcast of the SBS variety show 'Running Man', guest Heo Kyung-hwan appeared alone at the filming site because his manager overslept. He jokingly sent a message to the manager that sounded like a sudden dismissal, causing laughter among the cast members.
Heo Kyung-hwan appeared at the filming site alone due to his manager's oversleeping. What was even more surprising was the remark Heo Kyung-hwan made when the manager finally contacted him: "You've worked hard all this time." At this short and chilling message, even the 'Running Man' members burst into laughter.
In the SBS variety show 'Running Man' broadcast on the 4th, the members' 2-day, 1-night race in Cheorwon, Gangwon-do, was revealed. Heo Kyung-hwan, appearing as a solo guest that day, drew attention by showing up at the filming site alone, unlike usual, without his manager.
Yoo Jae-suk welcomed Heo Kyung-hwan's 12th appearance, explaining, "We came to Cheorwon for a 2-day, 1-night schedule for the first time in a while, and they said Kyung-hwan was the only one whose schedule worked." He then pointed out the situation, saying, "Kyung-hwan is so busy that he even came today without his manager."
Heo Kyung-hwan tried to explain, "There was no one specifically taking care of me. Usually, the dedicated writer comes and does it..." but Yoo Jae-suk immediately restrained him, saying, "Now, quiet, quiet," drawing laughter. It turned out the manager was so tired that he did not answer the phone in the morning.
Heo Kyung-hwan appealed, "The manager was so tired that he didn't answer the phone in the morning. So I came alone in a hurry," adding, "I am in a very tired state." Indeed, Yang Se-chan noted, "No wonder your eyes are so swollen," and Song Ji-hyo testified to Heo Kyung-hwan's urgent commute, saying, "He even came without doing his makeup."
The problem was why the manager could not answer the phone. When Ji Suk-jin asked if he had simply fallen asleep, Heo Kyung-hwan explained, "He charged his phone, but it seems it didn't charge." However, the manager contacted him late, and Heo Kyung-hwan revealed the message he sent at that moment.
"You've worked hard all this time."
It was an incredibly short and firm remark thrown toward the manager who was late to the filming site. Although it was a joke, the set turned into a sea of laughter at the sentence that sounded like a sudden notice of dismissal.
The members also actively defended the manager. Kim Jong-kook covered for him, saying, "Everyone makes mistakes," and Yang Se-chan added, "You have to acknowledge it once a year." Yoo Jae-suk also advised Heo Kyung-hwan to back down, saying, "The manager is a person too."
However, Heo Kyung-hwan did not back down easily. He threw out a meaningful remark, saying, "True. But things go well on days like this," and Kim Jong-kook, as if waiting for it, coldly retorted, "I don't think that's even that funny." Ultimately, Heo Kyung-hwan's solo commute incident, which began with the manager's oversleeping, concluded with the typical 'Running Man' style laughter added by the members' witty banter.
