IVE’s GAEUL and LIZ Transform Into Comic Book Heroes
Starship Entertainment has released “Hero Comics” concept photos of IVE members GAEUL and LIZ for the group’s mini-album Looks Can Kill. The title track is due out on the 19th, ahead of the album’s release on the 26th.

IVE members GAEUL and LIZ take on distinct hero personas in concept photos for the group’s upcoming mini-album Looks Can Kill, with book-inspired staging, martial arts poses and a fork among the props.
Starship Entertainment released the “Hero Comics” version photos through IVE’s official social media on the 14th. The comic-book-inspired concept pairs each member’s individuality with a different character.
GAEUL poses with a book and performs martial arts movements, including a gesture resembling a blast of energy. The photos present her character as both intellectual and dynamic, with an understated but energetic feel.
LIZ uses a fork in one pose and stares toward a target backdrop, bringing a sharp, charismatic edge to her hero character. In a unit photo, the two members share serious expressions and restrained poses, while retaining their individual styles within the same concept.
IVE has been releasing “Hero Comics” concept photos in sequence since the 12th, featuring a symbolic color and logo for each member. The photos assign the members different characters and gradually reveal the album’s visual direction, message and mood.
Looks Can Kill carries the message that anyone can be the protagonist and hero of their own life. It presents the idea of placing oneself at the center of one’s life instead of conforming to other people’s views or fixed standards.
The title track, also called “Looks Can Kill,” is described as combining a weighty bass with electronic sounds. IVE is scheduled to release it first on the 19th, then release the mini-album of the same name on the 26th and begin promotional activities.
