'I Live Alone' Free Spirit Kim Min's Transformation—Wearing a Tuxedo, He Becomes the 'Prince of Yeouido'

Actor Kim Min, who previously surprised viewers on 'I Live Alone' by wearing a topknot and personally repairing an old house, appeared this time wearing a neat tuxedo. Having shocked viewers with his rough beard and free-spirited lifestyle, he revealed a different charm with a neatly groomed hairstyle and sophisticated suit. As even rapper Swings poured out admiration, Kim Min's extreme visual contrast has once again become a hot topic.

On the 8th, Swings released a photo on his SNS with the caption, "Senior Kim Min is so handsome and cool!!!" The photo captures the two standing side by side and posing in a waiting room. Kim Min wore a black tuxedo with his hair neatly swept back and his beard tidily trimmed. It was an atmosphere entirely different from the nature-dweller image he showed in recent variety shows.

The two attended the 'Seoul International Drama Awards 2026' held at the KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, where they appeared as presenters. Appearing in formal attire suitable for an official event, Kim Min exuded a different charm from the humble image he usually shows on broadcasts. While exuding a rough atmosphere in his unadorned daily life, he revealed the side of a sophisticated actor with a single tuxedo. With Swings' admiration added, attention is focused on Kim Min's reversal appearance.

Kim Min drew attention by revealing his life in a nearly 90-year-old old house in Dongducheon, Gyeonggi-do, in the MBC 'I Live Alone' broadcast on the 2nd. At that time, he showed a unique daily life, such as wearing a topknot and growing a beard, personally operating a generator to use electricity, and repairing old floors with cement. Seeing him handle everything from woodworking to martial arts training, viewers expressed surprise, saying, "A real nature-dweller has appeared."

However, as the broadcast gained attention, unexpected controversy also arose. Some netizens compared past road view photos of the old house with the broadcast footage and raised questions about whether it was actual living. In particular, reactions emerged doubting the possibility of staging, such as the sight of him using a generator even though there is a utility pole near the house. As his unique lifestyle drew interest, debates continued regarding how much the appearance in the broadcast matched reality.

In response, Kim Min clarified through SNS on the 6th that there was no manipulation, staging, or setting in the life shown on the broadcast. He added the explanation that the house was a home where an acquaintance's family lived, and that electricity was not supplied even before he stayed there. He directly stated his position regarding the suspicion that the life in the broadcast was fabricated for entertainment.

The production team also supported Kim Min's explanation. The 'I Live Alone' production team stated on the 7th that the house is a space where Kim Min actually resides, and that they did not separately renovate the house or stage situations for filming. As the performer and the production team successively released their positions regarding the suspicions raised after the broadcast, the controversy entered a new phase.

Kim Min, who captured attention with his nature-dweller-like daily life, this time showed a completely different charm in a tuxedo. While he was closer to a person living a life of repairing an old house and practicing martial arts in the broadcast, he appeared with a sophisticated look at an official event, making his presence felt. With Swings' admiration added, Kim Min's reversal charm is receiving attention again. The contrasting images of a topknot and a tuxedo seem to further increase the interest surrounding him.
