Actor Kang Shin-hyo Married After Already Welcoming a Daughter: "My Sense of Responsibility Has Grown"

Actor Kang Shin-hyo has revealed that he is also a father, following his earlier announcement that he was getting married.

On June 3, Kang Shin-hyo wrote on his social media account, "After sharing the news of my marriage, I would like to tell you one more precious story. Our family has a beautiful daughter named Kang Ruby."

Explaining why he had waited until now to make the news public, he said, "She was the greatest blessing that came to us as we prepared for marriage and began a new life. Because I wanted to keep my family's story a little more carefully, I am only now introducing her to you."

Kang continued, "After meeting Ruby, I have been learning more deeply about the value of an ordinary day and the meaning of responsibility. I will continue working hard to show a good side of myself both as an actor and as the father of a child."

Kang had previously announced his marriage on his social media account on May 16. At the time, he wrote, "I am posting this because there is news I wanted to share directly with those who have always supported me. On Sunday, May 17, 2026, I will hold a wedding ceremony with the person I want to spend my life with."

Kang Shin-hyo made his debut in 2012, playing the lead character Shin-hyo in the film "Russian Novel." He later appeared in the films "Rough Play," "The Avian Kind," and "Sorry, I Love You, Thank You," as well as the dramas "Iris 2," "Six Flying Dragons," "Yuna's Street," "My Only Love," and "Love (ft. Marriage and Divorce) 3."
