Gong Hyo-jin Returns to MBC After 15 Years as a 'Married Woman Killer' and Dual-Life Killer

Actress Gong Hyo-jin will return to the small screen this July through MBC's new Friday-Saturday drama 'Married Woman Killer.'

'Married Woman Killer' depicts the struggle of a working mom with the most fearsome profession in the world as she attempts to maintain her work-life balance. Gong Hyo-jin returns to MBC for the first time in 15 years since 'The Best Love' in 2011.

She plays the protagonist, Yoo Bo-na, a manager of the Sales Team 3 at Durumi Electronics and the legendary sniper known as 'King Fisher.' Yoo Bo-na is an ordinary woman in her 30s with a husband and a four-year-old daughter, but she is also a 'one shot, one kill' killer who executes heinous criminals that the law has missed. After finishing a three-year parental leave, Yoo Bo-na returns to her role as King Fisher, precariously navigating between warm daily life with her family and her dangerous profession.

Jung Jun-won, Lee Sang-yi, and Sung Dong Il will perform alongside Gong Hyo-jin in 'Married Woman Killer.' Jung Jun-won plays Kwon Tae-seong, a reporter on the investigative reporting team of a newspaper and Yoo Bo-na's husband. Kwon Tae-seong is a 'romantic' husband and a 'doting father,' while simultaneously being a passionate, impulsive reporter who charges into all kinds of injustice in the world without hesitation. Having once served as the dedicated reporter for King Fisher, Kwon Tae-seong gradually approaches the shrouded truth of King Fisher.

Lee Sang-yi plays Lee Dong-jin, an inspector in the Violent Crimes Team 2 of the Southern Police Station. Lee Dong-jin continues a persistent pursuit under the firm belief that he must catch King Fisher to realize justice.

Sung Dong Il plays Kim Bong-pal, the team leader of Sales Team 3 at Durumi Electronics. Kim Bong-pal is a figure hiding formidable combat capabilities and serves as a reliable supporter for Yoo Bo-na as she returns to her life as a killer.
