Jung Hae-in and Oh Ha-young's 'This Damn Love' teaser hits 800,000 views

Netflix is set to present a highly anticipated new romantic comedy this summer. The series 'This Damn Love,' featuring the collaboration of actors Jung Hae-in, Oh Ha-young, and Heo Sung-tae, is emerging as a major hit for the second half of the year, garnering intense interest even before its release.

Scheduled for release on August 7, the Netflix series 'This Damn Love' is a romantic comedy depicting the unpredictable cohabitation between Go Eun-sae (Oh Ha-young), a prosecutor who has lost her memory, and Jang Tae-ha (Jung Hae-in), a boxing coach who claims to be her boyfriend.

The official teaser video quickly drove up view counts immediately after its release, heightening expectations for the series. In particular, prospective viewers are focusing on the unique relationship between the characters and Jung Hae-in's transformation into a romantic comedy lead.

In this work, Jang Tae-ha, played by Jung Hae-in, is a character who appears rough on the outside but is a pure-hearted, devoted lover who only has eyes for one person. Although he claims to be her lover to the amnesiac Go Eun-sae, he is portrayed as someone who is clumsy at expressing his emotions.

"Jang Tae-ha is the epitome of a devoted lover," Jung explained, adding, "He is a character with a twist charm that is both cool and somewhat clumsy at the same time." He further stated that he focused on detailed acting to express the character's complex emotional arc.

Oh Ha-young also promises a new acting transformation as she takes on the role of Go Eun-sae, a character driven by the dramatic element of amnesia. Go experiences confusion between her past memories and her current reality, but grows through the process.

"Go Eun-sae is an adorable character that you cannot hate," Oh revealed. "I wanted to show her growing in her own way even amidst the situation of having lost her memory."

Additionally, Heo Sung-tae will provide the tension in the drama. Baek Sang-gil, played by Heo, is a character who erases his traces from an organization to live a new life, serving as a key figure who creates unexpected conflicts in the protagonists' relationship.

"It is a role that creates tension just by appearing," Heo stated. "I focused on expressing the extreme sides and the inner essence of the character."

'This Damn Love' goes beyond a simple amnesia romance, illuminating human emotions and the meaning of love as characters rebuild relationships within lost memories. Through the theme of memory, the work is expected to pose the question: 'Is love a record of the past, or a choice of the present?'

Director Kim Jang-han cited the shifting relationships created as characters with different wounds and secrets become intertwined as the main point of interest for viewers.

Attention is now focused on whether 'This Damn Love'—combining Jung's delicate emotional acting, Oh's new side, and Heo's intense presence—can establish itself as a new hit in the Netflix romantic comedy genre.
