Min Do-hee reveals she vomited after first kiss scene with Kim Sung-kyun
Actress Min Do-hee shares a hilarious behind-the-scenes story about her first kiss scene with Kim Sung-kyun during the filming of 'Reply 1994'.
Actress Min Do-hee has drawn attention by revealing behind-the-scenes stories of her first kiss scene with Kim Sung-kyun during the filming of the tvN drama 'Reply 1994.' The special filming session involving the then-20-year-old actress and the veteran actor has been spotlighted again after 13 years.

On the 26th, the SBS variety program 'My Little Old Boy' aired a glimpse into the daily life of Min. The episode featured actors Kim Sung-kyun and Baro, who acted alongside her in 'Reply 1994,' visiting Min's home to share memories.
Recalling the filming days of 'Reply 1994,' Min said, "I was twenty years old back then." Having played a married couple with Kim in the drama, she confessed to being nervous about working with a co-star who was 14 years her senior.
Min candidly revealed, "At first, I thought he was a scary older man," to which Kim recalled, "I felt sorry because Do-hee was so young."
Baro, who also appeared in the series, described the cautious atmosphere of performing romance scenes with a young actress, saying, "Do-hee said she had no dating experience at the time. Sung-kyun hyung also kept feeling apologetic."
The biggest point of interest that day was the story of the first kiss scene the two filmed.
Min explained the situation, stating, "My first kiss scene after becoming an adult was with Kim Sung-kyun." The filming location was on a boat, and it was a crucial scene timed with a sunrise.
She said, "We went out to film on a boat, and I had terrible motion sickness. However, since the sunrise scene had to match the exact moment the sun rose, I had no choice but to wait."
Kim also described the urgency of the moment, saying, "The moment the sun rises is very brief. If you miss that timing, you cannot film it again."
Ultimately, Min completed the filming despite the difficult circumstances, before making an unexpected confession.
"As soon as the kiss scene filming ended, I vomited."
Her remark turned the set into a sea of laughter. Kim praised Min's professionalism, saying, "That's amazing. You might have vomited and still had to kiss, but you endured until the end."
However, Min immediately caused laughter once again by revealing, "The day before the kiss scene, Sung-kyun oppa ate a huge amount of garlic at a raw fish restaurant." It was a moment that showed how the memory of that tense first kiss scene remains a pleasant memory between the two even 13 years later.
'Reply 1994' received great love when it aired in 2013 for its story of youthful characters and its emotional appeal that spanned generations. In particular, the Samcheonpo and Cho Yoon-jin couple played by Kim and Min left a strong impression on viewers with their unexpected chemistry.
While they were a lovely couple in the drama, in reality, they have become senior and junior actors who respect each other and have watched each other's growth. Their friendship, which continues even 13 years later, remains another warm legacy left by the 'Reply' series.
Min's kiss scene anecdote goes beyond a simple filming episode; it is a story showing how fiercely a rookie actress performed her role on set. The tension and passion of those days, contained within the laughter, remain a special memory even as time passes.
