Tiffany Young unveils visuals for first solo studio album

Tiffany Young, a member of Girls' Generation who has been active as a solo artist, is set to fully unfold her unique musical world through her first full-length studio album. This release holds special significance as it marks the 19th year of her career and the 10th anniversary of her solo debut.

On the 7th, Young released the 'Edge Version' visual photos for her first solo studio album, 'Edge Of Calm,' via her official SNS.

The released images fully capture the elegant and sophisticated atmosphere unique to Young, along with the aesthetic world the album aims to achieve. Set in a space filled with emerald green, Young creates a mysterious atmosphere by blending with painterly artwork featuring flowers.

In another image, she poses in a dress with an organic silhouette against a deep black background. Rather than putting glamour at the forefront, the concept is characterized by emphasizing restrained tension through the contrast of light and dark, curves, and space.

The album title, 'Edge Of Calm,' literally means the 'edge of tranquility.' Through this album, Young expresses not a state of perfect peace, but the subtle tension and emotional fluctuations just before reaching tranquility through music and imagery.

A moment that is quiet but not entirely static, beautiful but somewhat uneasy. The visuals released by Young visually implement this sentiment of the album, suggesting a narrative that goes beyond simple concept photography.

Musically, the album features a composition worthy of the title of a first studio album.

'Edge Of Calm' includes the title track of the same name and 'Lips Together,' featuring (G)I-DLE's Miyeon, as double title tracks. A total of 11 songs, including these two, fill the album, such as 'Causes,' 'Drip Drop,' 'Halfway Honest,' 'Moment,' 'Lovers,' 'Summer's Not Over,' and 'Moonlit Rain.'

In particular, this album draws attention because Young did not stop at simply participating as a vocalist.

She directly participated in everything from the album concept planning and styling to visual directing and music video storytelling. She also contributed to building the aesthetic direction of the entire album, including having her name credited in the lyrics for 'Moonlit Rain.'

This signifies that Young, who has established herself as a popular star over a long period through her activities with Girls' Generation, is now expanding her territory as a creator putting her own name at the forefront.

Having debuted with Girls' Generation in 2007, Young began her full-scale solo journey in 2016 with the release of her first solo mini-album, 'I Just Wanna Dance.' Since then, she has expanded her field of activity into musicals and acting in addition to music.

This year is particularly meaningful as it marks the 10th anniversary of her solo debut. In September, she is scheduled to meet fans directly through an Asia tour, and she is currently performing on stage in the role of the protagonist Yumi in the musical 'Yumi's Cells.'
