Gree shows deep responsibility toward family during trip with grandmother
Gree, son of entertainer Kim GuRa, shares a touching moment of devotion to his biological mother and grandmother during a special getaway.
Gree, the son of entertainer Kim GuRa, revealed his deep affection for his family during a trip taken alone with his grandmother. In particular, when his grandmother asked about his biological mother's current status, he showed an extraordinary sense of responsibility, replying, "I am her only one, so I make sure to stay in touch. I have to take care of her."

On the 7th, a video titled 'A trip for the first time with grandmother, a day when a wish comes true' was released on Gree's YouTube channel. On this day, Gree spent a special day visiting a five-star hotel with his grandmother.
The reason Gree prepared this trip was more than just a simple trip to show filial piety. He explained, "I haven't done anything just the two of us with grandmother. This is a memory for me," adding, "Since my dad and I are always on broadcasts together, this is a channel I am doing on my own strength this time."
He further revealed the background of planning the trip himself, saying, "I thought it would be good to go on a trip like this while grandmother is still healthy."
While in the car, family stories flowed naturally. His grandmother asked Gree about Claudia Kim, the young daughter Kim GuRa had after remarriage, and Gree replied, "She is five years old. She is preparing for school and will go next year."
When the conversation turned to Claudia Kim's personality, Gree compared her to himself, saying, "The baby has a lot of talent." He remarked, "In the past, I used to feel shy if someone told me to do something in front of people or spoke to me, but the baby isn't shy at all."
He then drew laughter by joking, "I guess she was meant to be a celebrity. I ended up becoming a celebrity just by following my dad."
However, the atmosphere shifted when his grandmother asked about the current status of Gree's biological mother.
Gree answered calmly, "She is doing well. She lives far away in Jeolla-do, so I can't see her often." He continued, "I am the only one for my biological mother, so I make sure to stay in touch. I have to take care of her."
Though it was a short answer, Gree's words fully reflected his thoughts as he has lived watching his family for a long time. Regardless of his parents' relationship, she is a precious mother to him, and he felt the responsibility to check on her and care for her in his own way.
Gree spent his time unsparingly for his grandmother that day. He prepared a suite at a luxury hotel and even arranged meals himself, gifting his grandmother an unforgettable day. When his grandmother marveled at the spacious and luxurious hotel room, Gree expressed regret instead, saying, "I wanted to show filial piety to grandmother. I should do even more."
At the end of the trip, Gree's sincerity became even clearer.
Gree said, "My wish was to come on a trip just the two of us with grandmother. I feel great happiness seeing grandmother healthy. Please stay healthy. I love you."
The image of Gree shown on broadcasts is mostly cheerful and playful. However, during this trip, a slightly different side was revealed. He briefly set aside the title of 'Kim GuRa's son'—a label the public is familiar with through his broadcasts with his father—and showed himself thinking about his role as a grandson to his grandmother and as a son to his biological mother.
In particular, the single phrase "I have to take care of her" showed that even if the form of a family changes, the feelings toward the family do not change. Amidst his parents' divorce, remarriage, and changes in family composition, Gree left a warm resonance by showing how he is looking after the relationships left to him.
Kim GuRa previously went through a difficult period, taking on a debt of approximately 1.7 billion won related to his former wife. Since then, he remarried and had a young daughter, and Gree is currently continuing his independent activities through broadcasting and his personal YouTube channel.
