'I Am SOLO' Jeong-suk to appear on couple variety show with husband
Jeong-suk from 'I Am SOLO' Season 15 will appear on a new KBS variety show with her husband to address past dating controversies.
Jeong-suk, a participant from Season 15 of the ENA and SBS Plus dating show 'I Am SOLO,' has revealed plans for her first joint broadcast appearance with her husband following the so-called 'transfer controversy' surrounding him. Her determination to face the controversies that surfaced before her marriage head-on has drawn significant public interest.

On the 10th, a video titled 'I Am SOLO 15 Jeong-suk's Recent Status (Resignation, Startup, and...)' was released on the YouTube channel 'Lucy Insight.' In the video, Jeong-suk spoke candidly about her life after the show, her marriage, her preparations for starting a business, and her future broadcasting plans.
Introducing herself, Jeong-suk said, "I appeared on 'I Am SOLO' Season 15 and 'I Am SOLO, Love Continues,' and many of you likely remember me due to various controversies." She added, "There were issues with malicious comments, a so-called 'offline confrontation' incident, and leading up to my marriage, controversies regarding my husband's past relationships."
She continued, "Many of you likely know that the marriage process was not smooth," revealing, "The reason I am bringing this up is that I will be appearing on a new KBS couple variety program this August along with my husband."
She explained, "I heard that we are the first couple to appear. Although I cannot reveal the details yet, I think it will be a very fun program," adding, "Through this broadcast, my husband's face will also be revealed for the first time."
She also shared the reasoning behind her husband's decision to appear. Jeong-suk stated, "My husband agonized over it a lot. Since there were several past controversies, he decided to appear with the thought that rather than avoiding them, he wanted to face them head-on."
Leading up to her marriage, Jeong-suk stood at the center of controversy when revelations regarding her fiancé's past relationships spread online. At the time, a woman who identified herself as the husband's ex-partner claimed through an open chat room that "he secretly went on blind dates while dating her and eventually transferred to her and even married," releasing related details.
The author of the post claimed, "I thought Jeong-suk might not have known, so I wanted to let her know," and argued, "As a fellow woman, I thought it was right to know the truth before deciding on marriage," after which the controversy spread rapidly through online communities and SNS.
Rather than providing a separate lengthy explanation at the time, Jeong-suk proceeded with the marriage as planned and has since been sharing her newlywed life through SNS.
Plans for a new challenge were also revealed in the video.
Jeong-suk announced that she has concluded a professional career spanning 14 years. She explained, "Until recently, I worked as an investment analyst at a venture capital (VC) firm. I have been performing investment reviews and consulting work in Singapore, Japan, and Korea, and after working for a long time evaluating other companies and deciding on investments, I felt the desire to start my own business."
She continued, "I am currently preparing a cosmetics brand. I have completed market research and brand concept setting, and I plan to candidly reveal the product development process in the future."
She added, "As someone who spent a lifetime reviewing other people's businesses, I am poignently feeling that starting my own is not easy. Whether I succeed or fail, I want to show the entire process without hiding anything."
Jeong-suk gained recognition by appearing on the 2023 ENA and SBS Plus 'I Am SOLO' Season 15 and later met viewers on 'I Am SOLO, Love Continues.' She held her wedding this May and has recently been balancing broadcasting activities with preparations for her startup.
