Jung Joon-ho's wife Lee Ha-jung calls out driver for 'door ding' and fleeing

Broadcaster Lee Ha-jung emphasized the importance of driving etiquette after suffering a "door ding" in a parking lot and exposing the irresponsible attitude of the driver. While expressing disappointment over the driver leaving without an apology after damaging her vehicle, she also drew attention for her mature response in controlling her emotions.

Lee, the wife of actor Jung Joon-ho and a former MBC announcer, revealed the incident through her social media (SNS) story on the 14th, urging drivers to maintain basic civic responsibility.

Lee posted a photo along with the message, "I really wish people would follow driving manners." The photo captured the scene immediately after she parked her vehicle, and she explained the situation in detail.

According to Lee, she experienced the unexpected incident just as she was about to open her door to get out. She described the situation, saying, "The moment I was about to get out of the car, the driver of the adjacent vehicle hit my car door while talking on the phone and then got out."

What was even more disappointing was the subsequent response. Lee expressed her regret over the other driver's insincere attitude, writing, "Even after causing the door ding, they just left without any apology."

A "door ding" refers to instances where opening a car door in a narrow parking space causes an impact that scratches the adjacent vehicle, a frequent type of minor accident among drivers. Even if the contact is minor, it is considered basic driving etiquette to check the situation and offer an apology or take appropriate measures if damage is caused.

Despite the unpleasant situation, Lee showed composure by soothing her own emotions rather than expressing anger.

She stated that she tried to calmly accept the situation, saying, "I am grateful that I was allowed to have a heart that could quietly move past this without frowning." Her attitude of expressing disappointment toward the other person's actions while attempting to control her own emotions drew sympathy from many.
