Singer Kim Kwang-jin reveals his past as a top-tier fund manager and his unique history as the second artist from SM Entertainment on The Manager.
On the 6th, singer Kim Kwang-jin appeared on the MBC entertainment program 'The Manager' and shared anecdotes related to SM Entertainment.

Song Eun-i spoke about Kim Kwang-jin's past career at a securities firm, revealing, "It wasn't just a casual job; he even served as the Head of the Investment Strategy Division."
Kim Kwang-jin stated that he had obtained the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation. In response, Jeon Hyeonmu explained, "That is much harder than becoming a Certified Public Accountant."
Song Eun-i expressed surprise, saying, "He was ranked number one in the country in terms of fund performance." Yoo Byung Jae asked, "Was that after 'Magic Castle' became a hit?" to which Kim Kwang-jin replied, "It was after that. While working at the company, I only performed as a singer on weekends."
Regarding stocks, Kim Kwang-jin said playfully, "Since I focused my investments on small and medium-sized stocks, I think I would have been kicked out about three times if I were still in the profession. I think it's better to focus hard on music. I guess this is where it ends."
Kim Kwang-jin also revealed his unique history as an 'SM alumnus,' saying, "Han Dong-jun was the 1st artist, and I am the 2nd." The cast members reacted with surprise, noting, "He is different from the SM artists who came after him."
Kim Kwang-jin mentioned, "After I released my album with Han Dong-jun, Chairman Lee Soo-man transitioned [the company's direction]." Jeon Hyeonmu added detailed context, saying, "Since artists like Han Dong-jun and Kim Kwang-jin weren't the focus, they started doing idols instead."
