Kim Shin-young gifts expensive clothing care machine to Park Kyung-hye

A heartwarming story about entertainer Kim Shin-young has come to light. She touched many hearts by readily giving an expensive item she didn't need to actress Park Kyung-hye, providing practical assistance in the process.

In the 660th episode of the MBC entertainment program 'I Live Alone' aired on the 14th, the daily life of Park Kyung-hye, who lives in a small studio apartment, was revealed. What caught the eye at Park's home that day was a clothing care machine that had not been seen previously.

Park introduced the newly acquired appliance and shared the unexpected story behind it.

“Actually, I really needed that clothing care machine. It was an appliance I felt would be greedy to buy for myself,” she said. “Shin-young unnie won the grand prize at a retreat and received a clothing care machine as a prize, and she gave it to me as a gift.”

Previously, Kim had won the grand prize at the 'Rainbow Retreat' talent show. It was reported that she readily gave up the prize, saying, “Since I already have one, I will give it to Kyung-hye.”

For Park, the clothing care machine held a significance far beyond being just an expensive appliance.

Due to the nature of her work, she often wears various rented outfits. She explained, “There are situations where I have to go to an agency myself to rent costumes for filming. I couldn't just return the clothes as they were, so I always had to pay for laundry, but since unnie gave me this gift, I am saving a lot.”

As it was an appliance Park desperately needed but felt burdened to purchase due to her limited living space, Kim's gift provided practical relief by reducing her actual living expenses.

Through the screen, Park expressed her gratitude to Kim, saying, “Unnie, I will repay you. I really mean it.”

In response, Kim shared her special feelings. “The thought immediately crossed my mind: my talent wasn't wasted. It was a first. I was so happy,” she said.
