god's Park Joon-hyung reveals arrhythmia caused by extreme COVID-19 precautions
Park Joon-hyung shares how excessive Vitamin D intake and inactivity during the pandemic led to arrhythmia and a herniated disc.
god member Park Joon-hyung revealed that his extreme self-discipline to protect his family during the COVID-19 pandemic ultimately led to serious health complications. He confessed to experiencing physical abnormalities due to excessive vitamin intake and prolonged inactivity, which eventually resulted in a diagnosis of arrhythmia.

Park recently appeared on the YouTube channel 'DinDin is DinDin' to share candid updates about his life at age 57 and his approach to health management.
During the appearance, DinDin asked, "Now that you've reached your 50s, how is your health?" prompting Park to share his experience: "You must not stop moving for your health."
Recalling the pandemic, Park said, "I thought I could adjust my life to some extent and survive anywhere, but things changed a bit then."
As a father with a young daughter, he explained that his fear of infection was intense.
"Thinking that my baby shouldn't be harmed because of me, I wore gloves every day and didn't go anywhere. I even took a break from work for 1 year and 8 months," he confessed.
However, the lack of physical activity led to unexpected issues. Park explained that his lifestyle at the time took a toll on his body, saying, "As I spent more time leaning on the sofa watching TV, I developed a herniated disc."
He added that after resuming his broadcasting activities, he began to feel alarming physical changes.
"When I was walking up a hill, I felt short of breath and my arms went numb. I thought, 'Is this a heart attack?' so I went to the hospital. After the examination, they told me I had developed arrhythmia," Park revealed.
He cited excessive Vitamin D intake as another cause for his health issues.
Park noted that he began taking Vitamin D to stay healthy during the pandemic, stating, "Julien Kang told me, 'Hyung, you need to take Vitamin D3,' so I thought I should take more. I was taking about 15,000 IU a day."
The subsequent test results were startling.
"When I had a blood test, they told me it was about 10 times higher than an average person. I learned that taking too much can ruin your body," he explained.
It is critical to consume appropriate amounts of Vitamin D, as excessive supplement intake can cause side effects such as increased blood calcium levels. Through his experience, Park emphasized that even efforts to improve health require balance.
Park's story—that extreme measures intended to protect his family actually threatened his health—serves as a reminder that health management is not about unconditional supplementation or restraint, but finding a balance suited to one's own body.
Park married Kim Yoo-jin, a former flight attendant 13 years his junior, in 2015, and they have one daughter.
