Yang Jung-a regrets rejecting doctor on blind date in her 20s

Actress Yang Jung-a recently opened up about a past blind date, expressing sincere regret over a decision she made years ago. Her confession that she missed out on a partner with excellent qualifications because she was too focused on physical appearance has captured the attention of viewers.

During the broadcast of the SBS variety program "My Little Old Boy" on the 2nd, Yang shared stories regarding her dating history and views on marriage.

When Shin Bong Sun asked the group, "Have you ever been on a blind date?", Yang revealed she had only experienced one in her life, noting, "I did it once. Privately."

Recalling the encounter, Yang mentioned she was in her late 20s at the time. She admitted she had little interest in marriage or blind dates back then, saying, "I hated the very idea of going on a blind date at that age. I actually got really angry at my mother before going."

However, looking back, that meeting has become a source of regret.

"The partner was a doctor and was one year older than me," Yang confessed candidly. "I think I focused a bit too much on looks back then."

Reflecting on her past judgment, she added, "With those great qualifications... oh my goodness. I was so immature."

While excitement and first impressions are often the primary drivers of attraction in youth, perspectives on partners tend to shift with time. Yang's confession transcends a simple dating anecdote, touching on the universal feeling of wondering "what if" when reflecting on past choices.
