Yano Shiho jokingly names daughter Choo Sa-rang's childhood friend Yuto as future son-in-law
During 'Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant', Yano Shiho shared a humorous moment regarding her daughter Choo Sa-rang's childhood friend, Yuto.
Top Japanese model Yano Shiho showed extraordinary affection toward Yuto, the longtime childhood friend of her daughter Choo Sa-rang, by jokingly saying, "I think I will entrust Sa-rang to you when I die." The highlight of their long-standing bond brought warm laughter to viewers as their relationship was once again brought into the spotlight.

In the episode of the KBS 2TV variety program 'Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant' aired on the 16th, the daily lives of Yano and her daughter Choo Sa-rang were revealed. The broadcast drew empathy from viewers by capturing a realistic conversation between Choo, who has entered puberty, and her mother, Yano.
During the episode, Yano cautiously asked her daughter, "Don't you have many boyfriends?" showing curiosity about her adolescent daughter's romantic life. In response, Choo replied with a shy expression, "I don't think I have any boyfriends now."
However, when Yano asked again, "Don't you have a new boyfriend?", Choo glanced at the production crew and naturally blocked the question by saying "No" while lightly hitting her mother's arm, drawing laughter. The scene captured the sensitive reactions typical of puberty and the realistic dynamic between mother and daughter.
Yano did not stop there, joking, "I think you will meet someone like your dad. You'll probably like a man who is like a gorilla, a rather rough style of man," before continuing the conversation by asking, "What kind of boyfriend do you like?"
During the discussion, the name of Yuto, Choo's longtime friend, was naturally mentioned. Yuto is a well-known figure who received much love as a "childhood friend" and the protagonist of a "love line" through various past broadcasts alongside Choo.
Yano made the cast laugh by joking, "When Mom dies, I think I will say to Yuto, 'Son-in-law Yoo, please take care of Sa-rang.'" She continued with remarks that seemed to practically acknowledge Yuto as a prospective son-in-law, demonstrating her deep trust in him.
Of course, the comment was taken as a lighthearted variety show joke based on a friendship that has lasted long enough to feel like family, rather than a serious statement regarding marriage.
It is reported that Yuto comes from a family known to be a 15th-generation medical lineage in Japan and is currently preparing to follow in his family's footsteps as a doctor. He recently drew attention again by appearing with Choo on the ENA variety program 'My Child's Private Life,' showing how much they have both grown.
The two were beloved by domestic and international viewers when their friendship first blossomed on KBS 2TV's 'The Return of Superman.' Since then, they have been dubbed "National Childhood Friends" whenever they are seen supporting one another.
The broadcast received a positive response from viewers for moving beyond simple romance stories to playfully depict a parent's perspective on a child's growth and the trust placed in a friend who is like family.
Yano married entertainer and former mixed martial artist Chu Seong Hun in 2009, and her daughter Choo has been a public favorite since her childhood. Recently, she has been showing a more mature charm as she grows into a teenager and appears on various variety programs.
