AKMU siblings LEE SUHYUN and Lee Chan-hyuk revealed they are living on the third floor of a monthly rented detached house in Pyeongchang-dong, Seoul. During a YouTube video released on the 23rd, LEE SUHYUN noted the residence is the smallest and relatively inexpensive option in the area.

AKMU siblings LEE SUHYUN and Lee Chan-hyuk have drawn attention by revealing they are living in a detached house in Pyeongchang-dong, Seoul, on a monthly rent basis. During a visit to the home, singer Crush expressed surprise upon learning the residence was rented monthly, despite being impressed by the open views and spacious atmosphere. While the detached house may appear luxurious, LEE SUHYUN noted that it is the smallest and relatively inexpensive house in Pyeongchang-dong.

A video titled "Conversation with Crush" was released on LEE SUHYUN's YouTube channel, "LEE SUHYUN Official," on the 23rd. In the video, LEE SUHYUN invited Crush to her home to share various stories, including music production. While touring the house, Crush remarked on the sense of openness, stating, "It's really good. It feels so refreshing." The relaxed atmosphere of the living space immediately captured the visitor's attention.

However, LEE SUHYUN offered an unexpected detail to the praising Crush, expressing regret by saying, "But not much time is left for this house either," suggesting the contract is nearing its end. When Crush cautiously asked if it was a "jeonse" (long-term deposit lease), LEE SUHYUN replied briefly, "Monthly rent." This prompted immediate surprise from Crush, who assumed the cost would be very high given the scale and location of the detached house.

LEE SUHYUN acknowledged that the monthly rent burden is not insignificant, responding "as expected" before explaining, "Still, I think it's the cheapest in Pyeongchang-dong." She added that this house is the smallest among the detached houses in the area. This was an unexpected explanation for Crush, who had been admiring the spaciousness of the home. While the house appears roomy, LEE SUHYUN clarified that compared to other detached houses in the same region, it is smaller and relatively cheaper.

Subtitles in the video also noted that the rent was "discounted a bit through a lump-sum monthly payment" (saglekse), adding a moment of humor regarding the lease terms. The video highlighted that the cost of living in a detached house is difficult to gauge solely by its type. In highly preferred areas, housing costs can vary significantly depending on size, location, and contract conditions, making the resident's realistic explanation particularly interesting.

Crush also inquired about how the siblings divide their living space, asking, "Do you stay on the first floor and your brother stays on the upper floor?" However, LEE SUHYUN's answer differed from expectations. She explained, "Both of us stay on the third floor." Contrary to the assumption that they would separate their living areas by floor, the revelation that the siblings live on the same floor drew interest to their daily lifestyle.

AKMU is a sibling duo consisting of Lee Chan-hyuk and LEE SUHYUN. The pair rose to fame after winning SBS's "K-pop Star 2" in 2012 and have since built a unique musical world with various hits, including "200%", "Give Love", "Last Goodbye", and "Dinosaur." Their music has earned love across generations through the combination of their unique personalities and solid musicality.

In April, they continued their musical activities by releasing their 4th full album, "Blooming." In this video, the siblings' daily lives—distinct from the creative musical world they show on stage—captured the interest of fans. Beyond the setting of a Pyeongchang-dong detached house, the honest confession of living on monthly rent, the realistic explanation of the house's size, and the sight of the siblings living on the same floor added a sense of friendly charm.
