AOA's Choa sparks plastic surgery rumors with bold new fashion transformation

Former AOA member Choa has drawn renewed plastic surgery speculation following a dramatic style shift involving a charcoal gray jacket and see-through top. While the singer previously indicated intentions to take legal action against unverified rumors, her recent sophisticated and mature look has prompted comparisons to her signature short blonde hair from her 2012 debut era.

Choa, who symbolized the peak era of AOA with her signature short blonde hair, has captured attention by returning with a completely different atmosphere. Pairing a charcoal gray jacket with a see-through top and a Miniskirt, her bold styling and intense makeup leave an impression far removed from her previously friendly image. Following the release of photos and videos, online reactions have ranged from amazement to renewed interest in her physical changes.

Recently, the director of a makeup shop released a video featuring Choa, emphasizing, "It's not AI, it's the real Choa," suggesting her transformed aura is striking enough to be mistaken for an artificial intelligence-generated image. Choa herself also showcased this new style by posting several photos of her attendance at a fashion show on her social media.

In the released photos, Choa creates a sophisticated and urban mood by combining a short charcoal gray jacket with a see-through top and a Miniskirt. Her blonde hair and makeup that emphasizes her eyes further amplify the intensity of the styling. Instead of the bright and lovely image she displayed on stage in the past, she now presents a much more daring and mature aura.

The makeup, which highlights her eyes and facial contours, particularly drew attention. Because her round face line, short blonde hair, and friendly expressions were so deeply ingrained in the public's memory during her AOA activities, this transformation feels especially dramatic. However, as impressions can change depending on styling, makeup, and camera angles, the cause of the change in appearance cannot be determined by photos alone.

Choa debuted in 2012 with AOA and gained popularity through numerous hits, including "Miniskirt", "Short Hair", "Like a Cat", and "Heart Attack". Her unique short blonde hair and powerful vocals became defining elements of the team's identity, and she was considered a representative member who left a strong impression on the public. Her distinct image was so strong that she could be recognized by her short hairstyle alone.

As such, this recent radical transformation has generated more than just fashion interest. As eyes compare her current look to her familiar past, plastic surgery rumors have been raised again by some. Every time Choa reveals a new style, her change in appearance becomes a recurring topic of conversation.

Choa has previously expressed her discomfort when plastic surgery suspicions arose in the past. Amidst repeated allegations, she expressed her position to the effect that "staying silent makes it seem like it's becoming an established fact," and has indicated intentions to take legal action against unverified speculation and malicious rumors. She drew a line against speculations about her appearance becoming solidified as fact.

While a celebrity's image change stimulates public curiosity, a different appearance does not immediately signify plastic surgery. Impressions can change entirely based on hairstyle, makeup, and fashion. Choa's recent transformation can be viewed as an attempt to try a new atmosphere rather than repeating her past image. Attention is focused on her as she moves beyond the intense memory of "blonde short-haired Choa" to present another style.
