'I Am SOLO' star Choi Myeong-eun undergoes seventh chest tattoo removal
Choi Myeong-eun, known for her appearance on the show 'I Am SOLO', has undergone her seventh laser treatment to remove a tattoo on her chest.
Choi Myeong-eun, known as Jung-sook from 'I Am SOLO', has undergone her seventh laser treatment to remove a chest tattoo following a trip to Da Nang, Vietnam. Despite the significant pain, she shared on social media that the process is providing comfort as the tattoo gradually fades.

Choi Myeong-eun, who gained recognition as Jung-sook on the 10th season of 'I Am SOLO', has undergone her seventh laser treatment to remove a tattoo on her chest. Despite expressing distress over the repeated pain of the procedures, she finds solace in seeing the tattoo gradually fade. Having previously advised those considering tattoos to decide carefully, she has once again shared her regrets through her personal experience.
On the 21st, Choi Myeong-eun shared updates on her life via social media (SNS), stating, "After finishing a 6-night, 5-day trip to Da Nang, Vietnam, I came back to South Korea to receive laser treatment for my exhausted skin, and [am undergoing] my 7th chest tattoo removal." Upon returning from her trip, she immediately continued her skin care and tattoo removal sessions.
The released photos show Choi Myeong-eun preparing for the procedure with anesthetic cream applied to her face and chest. Although she has undergone multiple removal sessions, the process appears to remain difficult. "It is so painful and hard, but it is a comfort because it is gradually fading. I should hang in there more," she wrote, expressing both her painful feelings and her expectations for the changing results.
Choi also added her thoughts on appearance management, stating, "I feel like women always have to groom and manage themselves. Nothing is easily obtained." She revealed the reality of having to endure time, cost, and pain through her daily routine of not only tattoo removal but also skin care.
This is not the first time she has disclosed her chest tattoo removal process. In June, she shared that she underwent her fifth lettering removal procedure, saying, "It was so painful, but I am enduring it because I have to erase it." At that time, while complaining about the pain of tattoo removal, she showed her determination, saying, "Since I have made up my mind, I will undergo it until the end to remove it properly."
In particular, Choi Myeong-eun has offered practical advice to those contemplating tattoos. At the time, she urged, "Tattoo removal is still painful. Please think one more time before getting a tattoo." She demonstrated through her experience that while getting a tattoo might feel like a relatively simple choice, changing one's mind may require multiple procedures. However, the number of sessions required and the final results can vary depending on the color and depth of the tattoo and the condition of the skin.
Choi Myeong-eun became known to the public through her appearance on the divorcee special of the SBS Plus and ENA variety program 'I Am SOLO'. Since the broadcast, she has maintained public interest by steadily sharing her daily life, appearance management, and various updates through her personal SNS.
Last December, she was sent to the prosecution regarding charges of assault, property damage, and insult, and was reportedly sentenced to a fine of 7 million won by the court at that time. Following those controversies, Choi Myeong-eun has once again become a center of attention by revealing her personal struggles with tattoo removal.
Choi Myeong-eun's current situation, involving enduring pain even during her seventh procedure, shows that the process of reversing a choice requires significant time and effort, much like the choice to get a tattoo itself. As she finds comfort in the gradually fading tattoo, attention is focused on whether she will successfully complete the remaining procedures.
