Girl's Day Yura recalls reunion with 'We Got Married' partner Hong Jong Hyun

Girl's Day Yura reflected on the moment she reunited with actor Hong Jong Hyun, her virtual husband from the 'We Got Married' era, after 12 years. Recalling the filming session with Hong, Yura expressed how "it felt so strange," noting her surprise at how much time had passed and how both have since entered their 30s.

On the 18th, a video was released on Yura's YouTube channel 'Yurayurahae' celebrating its first anniversary, featuring her answering questions from subscribers. When asked about the most memorable content from the past year, Yura listed several items, including racing games, universe-themed dates, and friend-matching sessions.

Among them, the most special content was undoubtedly the 'We Got Married' content. Yura remarked, "The truly novel part was when we filmed the 'We Got Married' content," adding, "It felt like riding a time machine." Recalling the moment she worked with Hong again, she confessed, "It felt so strange while filming because it felt like only Jong Hyun and I had aged."

She continued, asking, "When did we become people in our early to mid-30s?" As the two, who were so youthful back in 2014, stood before the camera again after all these years, a wave of emotion surged beyond a simple reunion.

The two met again last January through Yura's channel for the first time in 12 years. At the time, Yura did not know who the guest was until the day of filming. When Hong appeared, Yura was repeatedly surprised, while Hong laughed, asking, "You really didn't know?"

The production team handed the two a mission envelope, which contained the instruction: "Jong Hyun and Yura couple, prepare a 'Remind We Got Married' session following the guide from now on." Yura was delighted by the unexpected reunion, and the two exchanged comments like "We grew up just the same" and "We grew up well," summoning memories of the past.

The video released at the time garnered significant attention, triggering nostalgia among 'We Got Married' fans who have long remembered the 'Jjongah Couple.' Although time has passed, the memories of those days remain special for the two who once worked together as a virtual couple.
