Jeon Hyeonmu halts filming in Da Nang to avoid Korean tourists
Jeon Hyeonmu and Lee Joon struggle to find Korean-free spots in Da Nang, Vietnam, during the latest episode of MBN's 'This Is Hyun Moo Road'.
“I won't film here!” Jeon Hyeonmu eventually declared a halt to filming in the middle of Da Nang, Vietnam. Although he set out to find a “place without Koreans,” he stopped the camera after being overwhelmed by Korean tourists appearing everywhere he went.

In the second episode of MBN's “This Is Hyun Moo Road,” which airs at 10:30 PM on the 27th, Jeon Hyeonmu and Lee Joon roam around Da Nang with the goal of “finding a place without Koreans.” They visited a massage shop Jeon had been looking forward to, but the situation went in the exact opposite direction of his expectations as Korean-language signs and Korean tourists appeared one after another.
Jeon expressed his bewilderment, saying, “This is too much like Korea. It's like Myeongdong.” They managed to find a massage shop without Korean signs, but even there, they heard “hello” being said in Korean from all around. Ultimately, Jeon drew laughter by boldly declaring the end of filming, saying, “I won't film here!”
The atmosphere of the two men's journey changed completely in the rural alleys. They blended in perfectly by playing impromptu soccer matches with local children, but their stamina was depleted before long. Lee realized the incredible physical strength of the local children, noting, “Wow, they were doing this while wearing slippers,” and the two repeatedly shouted, “Stop!”
They also discovered a genuine local restaurant with no Koreans. Following a recommendation from a massage shop employee, they visited a seafood restaurant that was packed with customers across two buildings, yet it was difficult to find any Koreans. Jeon and Lee enjoyed the highlights of the trip by devouring fresh seafood, including crayfish and tiger prawns. Jeon brought laughter by revealing his alcohol tolerance, noting that he gets drunk after just two glasses, and adding, “Even on the truly happy day I received the ‘Entertainment Awards,’ I don't drink. On days like that, I just act like I'm drunk.”
However, Lee confessed that he was worried because the trip was too comfortable. When he said, “I'm worried because while filming Hyun Moo Road, I'm not thinking about the broadcast and just playing,” Jeon instead replied, “Viewers these days don't watch things that are forced for the sake of a broadcast.”
He went on to explain why he chose natural experiences over a fixed format, stating that the meaning of the trip itself is “throwing myself into an environment most different from South Korea.”
Jeon, who stopped filming while trying to avoid Korean tourists, did not remain conscious of the camera during the moments he ran with children and ate local food. Ultimately, the answer to the “Hyun Moo Road” he found lay not in a forced journey, but in enjoying even the unexpected situations as they are.
