Kim Myung Soo, 59, quits smoking and drinking to live longer for his youngest daughter

Actor Kim Myung Soo revealed that he quit both drinking and smoking for the sake of his 13-year-old youngest daughter. Now 59, his three daughters have become more than just family; they are the reason he has changed the very direction of his life.

During the “With The Famous Person” segment of KBS 1TV's “Morning Forum” broadcast on the 29th, Kim appeared alongside Jeong Eun Pyo, Kim Hak Do, and Jang Han Byul. During the appearance, Kim mentioned that he participates in activities for the Green Fathers Association for his daughters, naming his “three daughters” as the “stars in his heart.”

Starting parenting again at a later age led to significant changes in his lifestyle. Kim revealed that he quit smoking and drinking, stating, "Since I had my children late, I am taking care of my health with the thought that 'I must live longer.'"

He noted that he quit smoking relatively long ago and gave up alcohol a few years ago. He shared his changed daily life, saying, "I am living a more energetic life now." Because his 13-year-old daughter still needs her father's care, his desire to stay healthy and be with her for a long time naturally led to these lifestyle changes.
