Kim Soo Yong's will: 'There is no inheritance' despite 23.9 billion won in stock sales
Comedian Kim Soo Yong shares his will and discusses his past near-death experience and massive stock trading history.
“There is no inheritance. Do not fight over succession.” These words, left by comedian Kim Soo Yong as he personally wrote his own will, brought laughter to viewers. However, looking at his past stock trading history, his total sales amount approached 23.9 billion won over a six-year period, raising the question, “But is there really no inheritance?”

On the 23rd, a video titled 'I held my own funeral for the first time in my life' was released on the YouTube channel 'Sixth Sense Kim Soo Yong.' Kim Soo Yong met with a funeral director to experience actual funeral procedures and even drafted a will. While it was simple content, it was backed by his actual experience of facing death.
Kim Soo Yong recalled the past, saying, “They say I went into cardiac arrest for about 20 minutes during another YouTube appearance.” It was widely reported that after suffering cardiac arrest due to acute myocardial infarction last year, he miraculously recovered, and Kim Sook, who was at the scene at the time, provided rapid emergency first aid, which became a major topic of conversation.
“Death has no set order,” he said. “After experiencing something like that once, I felt that I should prepare, if only for myself and for those left behind.” He explained that after experiencing the threshold of death, he began to think about funerals and wills.
His written will did not miss his signature jokes. He wrote, “It is so bitter that I haven't reached 10,000 subscribers. Even if I go, please pay attention to the view counts,” before immediately adding, “There is no inheritance. Do not fight over succession,” which triggered laughter. Even in a moment dealing with life and death, he did not lose his characteristic sense of humor.
He also left a serious message, saying, “If there is anyone who was hurt or suffered damage by me during my lifetime, I sincerely apologize.” This was a way of showing his consideration for those left behind behind the laughter.
However, there is a reason why Kim Soo Yong's statement about having 'no inheritance' is drawing even more attention. Through 'Retail Investor Kim Won Hoon: The World of Stocks,' he recently revealed his stock trading history for the six-year period from July 2020 to July 2026. His purchase amount exceeded 21.1 billion won, and his sales amount approached a staggering 23.9 billion won. While the scale of the transactions is remarkable, the revealed realized profit and loss was approximately 112.16 million won. As the gap between the tens of billions of won in transaction volume and the actual profit and loss is revealed, his investment history is drawing attention once again.
