Lee Sang Min to host new variety show 'Four Frames of Fate'
Broadcaster Lee Sang Min joins Ha Yu Bi as MC for the new KBS Joy show 'Four Frames of Fate,' where shamans interpret life stories.
Broadcaster Lee Sang Min's career path has once again taken an unpredictable turn. After drawing attention by revealing he earned 1.5 billion won in income last year, only to suddenly withdraw from a survival program midway, he is now stepping up as the MC for a counseling variety show that delves into the lives and fates of others.

Lee will co-host the new KBS Joy variety show 'Four Frames of Fate,' which premieres on the 30th alongside trot singer Ha Yu Bi. The program features people living with anxieties about the future, unspoken worries, and the weight of life; they share their stories, and actual shamans step in as 'fate magicians' to interpret the storytellers' destinies and concerns.
The stage for the program is a specially designed 'Four Frames of Fate' booth. Each week, different storytellers visit the booth to pour out their stories, and four fate magicians interpret the tales in their own ways, offering advice on life's direction. The process of looking into past choices, current conflicts, and the upcoming future is expected to unfold with both entertainment value and human interest.
This program holds a peculiar meaning for Lee as well. Having re-established himself as a broadcaster after enduring business failures, financial difficulties, and a long period of attempting to make a comeback, he is considered a celebrity with a more turbulent life story than most. The production team is highlighting his experience as a 'life veteran' who has weathered many storms as a strength for his role as MC. Ha is expected to add a different perspective from Lee, approaching the storytellers' emotions based on his unique ability to empathize.
The intensity of the stories will be high from the very first broadcast. Stories ranging from losing a loved one to a person who received a spiritual calling but refuses the path of a shaman will appear, along with a couple experiencing conflict due to a husband's squandering of assets. Comedian Nam Ho Yeon, with 22 years of experience, will also visit the booth to share his worries about his life behind the scenes and his future.
Looking at Lee's recent moves, his joining of this new program draws even more attention. He recently made headlines on the Wavve original 'Bloody Game X' by revealing, "I earned 1.5 billion won last year." While competing with the goal of reaching the finals in that program, he withdrew midway last August, stating he had to go to the hospital with his wife. It was a decision to choose family over continuing the competition.
Having stepped down from the survival stage, Lee returns this time not as a competitor, but to a place where he listens to the stories of others. Although it is a program that predicts someone's fate, Lee, who will lead the broadcast, is himself a person who has rewritten his own fate many times through numerous ups and downs. Attention is focused on whether 'Four Frames of Fate' can establish itself as a program where the lives of the storytellers and Lee's experiences intersect, moving beyond a simple fortune-telling variety show.
