BLACKPINK's LISA unveils dark mermaid look for Halloween

LISA released photos on October 31 showcasing a mysterious mermaid transformation featuring blue and black makeup and detailed scales. This dark concept follows her previous Halloween appearances as the 'Squid Game' doll in 2021 and a character from 'Love, Death & Robots' last year.

BLACKPINK's LISA has transformed into an eerie and mysterious mermaid for Halloween. Combining unique blue and black makeup with sharp nails and elaborate scales covering her body, she completed a look entirely different from the traditional mermaid found in fairy tales. LISA, who has drawn attention every year with Halloween costumes that exceed imagination, once again captivated eyes this year with an intense transformation.

On October 31, LISA released several photos on her social media accompanied by a mermaid emoji. In the photos, she expressed her face and body in mysterious shades of blue and black, showcasing a radical style that seems to overturn the conventional image of a beautiful mermaid.

The blue-tinted eyes, long nails, and intricately detailed black scales on her skin were particularly overwhelming. The look coexists with a mysterious fantasy atmosphere and a chilling quality reminiscent of a monster from a horror movie. Moving beyond mere visual splendor, she meticulously realized the character's atmosphere and texture, once again demonstrating her signature ability to pull off bold concepts.

LISA's Halloween transformations are not a first this year. In 2021, she left a strong impression by transforming into Young-hee, the giant doll from the Netflix original series 'Squid Game'. Last year, she drew attention with an original costume by recreating a character from the episode 'Jibaro' in the Netflix animated series 'Love, Death & Robots'.

Because she has gone beyond simply changing costumes each year to reinterpret characters from various works in her own way, much interest was focused on this mermaid transformation. The choice to flip a familiar fairy tale protagonist into a dark and grotesque character aligned with LISA's bold image, creating another Halloween sensation.

Recently, LISA has also been the subject of interest regarding her private life. Since this past August, dating rumors have surfaced following reports of her spending time with Thai actor Blue Pongtiwat in various locations, including Thailand, Hong Kong, and Japan. However, their relationship has not been officially confirmed.

LISA has consistently expressed her individuality on stage as well as in fashion and concept pictorials. This Halloween, she completed another radical transformation by turning a fairy tale mermaid into a haunting fantasy character.
