Mickey Gwang Su reveals YouTube earnings topped 10 million won monthly
Comedian Mickey Gwang Su shares his relaxing life on Jeju Island and reveals his YouTube revenue has exceeded 10 million won per month.
Comedian Mickey Gwang Su surprised viewers by revealing that his monthly YouTube earnings have once exceeded 10 million won, while sharing glimpses of his relaxing daily life on Jeju Island, where he exercises overlooking the ocean and enjoys sashimi.

On the 25th, a video titled "The comedian who struck it big after buying a real estate agent lunch?" was released on the YouTube channel Gurigura. Mickey Gwang Su stated that he is currently creating content about his life in Jeju and briefly returned to Seoul for filming.
The life he described in Jeju is close to a dream. He wakes up in the morning for a fasted run while looking at the ocean view, buys sashimi at a mart, and then heads to the gym. After finishing his workout, he returns to enjoy coffee and fruit, and even goes snorkeling in the sea.
However, behind this leisurely lifestyle lies intense content creation labor. Mickey Gwang Su, who debuted in 2005 and is now in his 22nd year, currently operates his own YouTube channel. He explained that "the viewing duration is long and there is fan loyalty," noting that even with the same 100,000 views, his channel's revenue structure may differ from other channels.
He then revealed his decisive earnings, stating, "YouTube revenue alone has hit over 10 million won in a month." He explained that the fan base built over a long period and the high retention time of viewers are translating into actual revenue.
Kim Gu Ra also shared his own experience, saying, "On Kim Gu Ra's Cuckoo Golf TV, when revenue was high, it reached 30 million to 40 million won." This highlights how the expansion of entertainers into YouTube has established itself as a new revenue stream beyond being a simple promotional tool.
However, Mickey Gwang Su also spoke about the difficulties hidden behind the glamorous YouTube earnings. "Ideas run dry. When I edit all night, I end up exhausted," he said. Ultimately, the leisurely daily life he enjoys in Jeju is maintained by the constant need to create content.
