Noh Hong-chul on leaving 'Infinite Challenge' due to drunk driving: "I was so anxious about tomorrow"

Noh Hong-chul has personally opened up about the moment he had to leave the broadcasting industry 12 years ago. Recalling the time when everything stopped in an instant due to drunk driving, he confessed, "I was so anxious about tomorrow."

On the 2nd, while answering subscribers' questions on his YouTube channel, Noh Hong-chul revealed stories from his past. While discussing the perception that he seems to live without worries, doing whatever he wants freely, he mentioned the 2014 drunk driving incident.

He expressed his feelings at the time, saying, "When I committed a big mistake 11 or 12 years ago, everything I was doing stopped, and I was so anxious about tomorrow." It was a moment difficult to imagine looking only at his current relaxed appearance.

In November 2014, after being caught in a drunk driving crackdown in Gangnam District, Seoul, Noh Hong-chul suspended his broadcasting activities, leaving fixed programs such as MBC's 'Infinite Challenge' and 'I Live Alone' that he was appearing in at the time. It was as if all his schedules suddenly stopped right when he was in the midst of active broadcasting.

The place Noh Hong-chul headed to at that time was the Camino de Santiago in Spain. He recalled those days, saying, "Since I suddenly had time again, the leisure was also good," and "It seems that in life, good times and bad times always coexist."

In particular, his confession that the worries he had on the pilgrimage led to his current life also drew attention. Noh Hong-chul said, "I had all sorts of worries on the pilgrimage back then, and in the end, the worries I had then are all the things I am doing now."

Since returning to broadcasting, Noh Hong-chul's field of activity has expanded even further. Beyond broadcasting, he has challenged himself in various fields such as travel, riding, and business, and steadily reveals his daily life through YouTube. His confession that the anxiety of the moment when everything stopped 12 years ago actually became the catalyst for contemplating his current life is gaining new attention.
