Park Han-byul Says a Sea 10 Minutes From Home Is Why She Can't Give Up Life on Jeju Island
Actor Park Han-byul shared a night video of the sea near her Jeju Island home, saying the view is why she cannot give up living there. She settled on the island after halting her entertainment career in 2019.
"A sea like this, 10 minutes from home. This is why I can't give up life on Jeju Island," actor Park Han-byul wrote on her SNS on the 18th, posting a video of an evening stroll with the caption "I came out for a night walk, and why is it so pretty today?"
Park runs a cafe on Jeju Island and keeps in touch with fans through a YouTube channel and her SNS. She married Yoo In-seok, former head of Yuri Holdings, in 2017 and has two sons. After her husband was implicated in the so-called Burning Sun scandal in 2019, she stopped her entertainment activities and settled on the island. Since then, the way she appears before the public has changed, and her daily life on Jeju Island has become a main window onto how she is doing. Rather than updates through broadcasts or projects, she now shares everyday moments in nature and small pleasures, staying steadily in contact with fans.
A rainbow-lit shoreline on an ordinary walk
The video shows the Jeju Island sea after dark, with rainbow-colored lights adding to the night scene. The glittering lights gave the calm nighttime atmosphere a different charm, and the view was beautiful enough to make viewers pause. The post came without any elaborate explanation, yet the ordinary moment of walking to a sea close to home and marveling at the scenery stands out, and it conveyed her reason for staying in a single scene.
It was not a special trip, nor did she deliberately seek out a landmark. She set out on her usual night walk, came across the view by chance and shared it with fans. Her comment shows her satisfaction at enjoying such beautiful nature so close to home. Being able to end the day looking at the sea, without any particular plans, appears to be a major reason she keeps choosing Jeju Island. A life with room to breathe, unlike the glitter of the city, and the chance to enjoy nature in daily life were what made it hard for her to leave.
