From Divorce to Hospitalization: Park Hwan-hee Expresses Desperate Desire to Return to Acting

On the 25th, Park took time to answer fan questions through her social media account. Amid inquiries about her daily life and self-care, she directly addressed questions regarding her recent lack of screen time.

When asked about her diet, she replied playfully, "Since it's the off-season, there is no such thing," adding, "Even while eating, I'm thinking about what to eat next. I guess autumn is coming."

Regarding skincare, she revealed, "I don't have the resources to visit a dermatology clinic, so I am working very hard on home care."

When asked if she exercises, she gave a joking response, saying, "Lately, I mostly enjoy 1:1 dates with my bed." However, when a fan asked her to "please be more active," she replied, "I want to do that too," revealing a sincere sentiment that contrasted with her previous playful tone.

Health issues have also been a significant part of Park's recent life. She previously revealed in 2019 that she suffers from fibromyalgia. Later, in 2024, she disclosed that she suddenly collapsed on the stairs at Gangnam Station due to dizziness and abdominal pain without any warning signs.

This past July, she also shared news of her hospitalization. Park, who posted a photo of herself walking on a hospital rooftop while on an IV drip, expressed her gratitude to fans, saying that although her hospitalization was sudden, she gained strength from their support and flower bouquets. At the time, she maintained a bright attitude, even making jokes about her haggard appearance.

Born in 1990, Park married rapper Bill Stax in 2011 and had a son the following year, but they divorced in 2013. She began her acting career in 2015 with the KBS2 drama "Who Are You: School 2015."

Since then, she has built a diverse filmography with roles in "Descendants of the Sun," "Jealousy Incarnate," and "Our Unwritten Seoul." Since appearing in ENA's "Heroes Next Door" last year, news of new projects has been relatively scarce.

For an actor, a gap in projects represents more than just a passage of time. As a profession that relies on maintaining public presence, the continuity of roles is directly linked to career longevity. This is why Park's brief response, "I want to do that too," carries significant weight.

Attention is now turning to whether Park, having navigated health issues and personal hardships, will return to the screen soon. The key to her future will be whether her expressed passion for acting can translate into her next project.
