Child actress Park So-yi to take on teen roles in KBS drama
Child actress Park So-yi, known for her emotional performance in the film 'Pawn', will return to the small screen playing a middle school student in the KBS Drama Special 2026 project 'Sound:Track'.

Park So-yi will transition to playing a third-year middle school student in the KBS Drama Special 2026 'Sound:Track'. The project features two distinct stories, including 'Lies, Lies, Lies', which follows a woman's pursuit of a scammer after falling victim to a rental deposit fraud.
Child actress Park So-yi, who stirred viewers' emotions with her deep acting in the film 'Pawn', is returning to the small screen with a more mature image. Having left a strong impression with her youthful face in her childhood, she has grown enough to take on the role of a third-year middle school student. As she transforms from a cute child actress into a girl with a complex inner life, attention is focused on the new acting she will showcase in this work.
Park So-yi joins Seo Ji-hye, Seo Bum-june, Park Se-wan, Lee Dong-ha, and Lee Seung-ryong in the KBS Drama Special 2026 'Sound:Track'. This project expands the emotions and narratives contained in famous songs into dramas through music, aiming to unravel the stories of characters living different lives by combining them with familiar melodies in a new way.
The KBS single-act drama has served as a pillar of Korean drama for 42 years, starting from 'Drama Game' in 1984. It is characterized by functioning as a gateway for discovering rookie writers, directors, and actors, while presenting various subjects and formats that are difficult to attempt in long-form dramas. This year, 'Sound:Track' also plans to unfold dense stories unique to single-act dramas by combining music with character narratives.
The work featuring Park So-yi is 'Lies, Lies, Lies'. It depicts the story of a woman who, facing her first independent life, falls victim to a short-term rental deposit scam and sets out to find the ID 'Peterpan007' used by the scammer on a real estate app. Centered on the fraud case, the story captures the process where people with different wounds meet and experience consolation and change through unexpected relationships.
Seo Ji-hye plays Ahn Eo-jin, a former elementary school teacher turned freelance app developer. Exhausted by parents who cross the line, Eo-jin chose the life of a developer to maintain a certain distance from others. While she has protected her own space by working alone, her peaceful daily life is fractured when she becomes unexpectedly embroiled in a fraud case. Seo Ji-hye is expected to delicately express Eo-jin's wounds and the changing emotions she experiences through the incident.
Seo Bum-june transforms into Park Hui-dong, a private taxi driver who draws attention with his youthful age and neat appearance. Park Hui-dong is a character who shares similar wounds with Ahn Eo-jin and becomes a source of comfort and strength for one another. Seo Bum-june is expected to portray the process of the two gradually growing closer and the emotions blooming within that process through his characteristic warm and sincere acting.

Kim Ji-woo, played by Park So-yi, is a third-year middle school girl. While she surrounds herself with a thin body and cynical speech and attitude, a heavy responsibility to protect her family resides within her. Living while taking care of her grandmother and younger sibling, Ji-woo is a character who has endured while resenting her immature father, keeping in mind the words, "If Dad isn't here, you are the head of the household." The reality of having to take responsibility for her family at an age when peers should be protected by adults caused Ji-woo to mature early.
Park So-yi is expected to portray Ji-woo three-dimensionally, as a character who appears indifferent and firm on the outside but hides wounds and complex emotions inside. Attention is focused on how the delicate emotional acting Park So-yi has built since her childhood as a child actress will capture the cynicism and anxiety of a teenage girl, as well as her affection for her family. For viewers who remember her with a cute image, this will be an opportunity to see Park So-yi's evolved acting transformation.
Another work, 'Autumn Morning', changes the mood to present a chilling thriller. It tells the story of a detective who is the sole survivor of her identical twin sister's death, chasing a serial murder case that has recurred after 13 years as she tries to reclaim her lost life. As past wounds intersect with the current investigation, the story depicts the pain and tenacity of characters moving toward the truth.
Park Se-wan plays Na Ji-eon, a detective who cannot escape the memory of that day after witnessing the murder scene of her twin sister. Suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Ji-eon thoroughly controls her condition by checking her heart rate (BPM) displayed on a smartwatch. As a character who does not stop the investigation to catch the culprit despite suffering from trauma, Park Se-wan is expected to show a complex inner self where strength and anxiety coexist.
Lee Dong-ha appears as Park Si-yeol, a senior who has stayed by Ji-eon's side for a long time and is the team leader of the violent crimes unit. Because Park Si-yeol knows the pain Ji-eon experienced better than anyone, he worries about her while also being concerned about situations where personal feelings interfere with the investigation. Interest is gathering in how Lee Dong-ha will express a character who appears indifferent but has a warmer heart than anyone else.
Lee Seung-ryong plays Yoon Cho-rok, who investigates the 'Mira Serial Murders' alongside Na Ji-eon and Park Si-yeol. He is a considerate character who has an interest in Ji-eon but does not approach aggressively when she maintains distance. Yoon Cho-rok's personality, which fluctuates between slyness and kindness, is expected to relieve the tension of the drama while creating diverse relationships between the three characters.
While 'Lies, Lies, Lies' is a story of people meeting through a fraud case understanding each other's wounds and offering consolation, 'Autumn Morning' focuses on the suspense of a detective living with a past tragedy chasing the truth of a serial murder. Expectations are high for how KBS Drama Special 2026 'Sound:Track' will leave a lasting impression through warm human dramas and tension-filled thrillers that diversely unravel music and character emotions.
