Shinji tells Moon Won to "just go out" after he asks to play with her after work
Koyote's Shinji revealed her unexpected desire for solitude after work to her husband Moon Won, who prefers spending time with her. The conversation highlights the realistic differences in their lifestyles despite their affection for one another.
Koyote's Shinji revealed an unexpected desire to her husband Moon Won, who wants to spend time with her even after work. Unlike her husband, who says he loves spending time with his wife most, Shinji explained that she needs time to rest alone after finishing her daily routine. Their conversation, which seemed like a sweet expression of affection between a newlywed couple yet revealed realistic lifestyle differences, drew attention.
Recently, a video titled "From seasonal blue crab to shrimp. The reason you must go to Oido now" was released on the YouTube channel 'How About Shinji?!?'. Shinji and Moon Won visited a restaurant in Oido to enjoy seasonal seafood while sharing stories about their newlywed life. During the pleasant meal, Moon Won opened up about his honest feelings, mentioning something that recently made him feel hurt by his wife.
Moon Won piqued curiosity by saying, "I went to sleep sulking yesterday." He explained that after asking his wife something, he received the response, "Do it yourself," and when he asked why her tone was like that, Shinji simply replied, "Why?" Ultimately, the two did not continue the conversation, and Moon Won confessed that he went to sleep while feeling hurt. It was a scene showing how a trivial word can lead to an emotional rift between a married couple.
While understanding her husband's hurt feelings, Shinji explained her situation after work. She spoke honestly, saying, "When I'm watching something, I want to focus, but she keeps making me talk," and added, "It wasn't even a very meaningful conversation." Her explanation is that after returning from work, she wants to rest without being disturbed even for a moment, but Moon Won wants to have conversations with his wife even in those moments.
Shinji also acknowledged her own changes. She said, "In the past, I used to chatter a lot when I came home, but my words have decreased. I think my husband feels hurt by that." It appears that their lifestyle patterns and ways of expressing emotions have changed before and after marriage, and the husband seems to feel regret over the decreased conversation compared to before. On the other hand, for Shinji, it has become important to relieve the fatigue accumulated outside and secure time for herself.
Moon Won also stated that he is not simply complaining. He explained that the feelings he has for his wife are "half hurt, half worried." He added that there were times he went to sleep sulking after trying to play around in bed and Shinji told him to stop. For a husband who enjoys spending time together, playfulness and conversation are expressions of affection, but for a tired wife, they can sometimes be actions that interrupt her rest.
Shinji also revealed the reason why she advised her husband to spend time with his friends. She said, "I didn't want to pass the stress accumulated outside onto my husband," and "So I told him to meet friends, drink until late, and come home in the early morning." She added, "I wish he would just go out," which drew laughter. This is interpreted as an intention to have individual time so that her fatigue is not directed toward her husband, rather than a dislike for spending time with him.
However, Moon Won's response was different from Shinji's wish. He expressed his affection for his wife, saying, "I like playing with my wife the most." It was a moment that clearly revealed the difference between a wife who wants to rest alone and a husband who wants to spend time together. Amidst the excitement of being newlyweds, the sight of the two adjusting to different life rhythms came across as a realistic story that many couples can relate to.
Meanwhile, Shinji debuted in 1998 as a member of the group Koyote and has been active as a singer for a long time. This past May, she married the singer Moon Won, who is seven years younger, and has since been revealing her newlywed life through YouTube. While their affection for each other is clear, attention is focused on how the two, who have different ways of expressing themselves and different needs for rest, will find a balance.
