Actor Choi Sang-yeob, Son of Park Mi Sun and Lee Bong-won, Passes Audition After Changing Surname

Comedian Jo Hye-ryun, who stepped up as the producer for the play 'Love You, Mom', mentioned actor Choi Sang-yeob, stating, "He changed his surname and is now working as an actor." She added, "Two years ago, a friend came to an audition, and it turned out to be Park Mi Sun's son. I didn't even know during the audition. He is working under the surname Choi, and he is so cute and handsome. He is also a really great actor."

She shared a funny episode, continuing, "What's even more interesting is that Bong-won came to see the performance but didn't recognize his own son. He was asking, 'Where is Sang-yeob?' and was shocked when his son appeared and said, 'I am Sang-yeob.'"

Park Mi Sun expressed her pride, saying, "When my son was young, his dream was to be a comedian. I even told him, 'Mom and Dad will teach you,' and showed him how to fall down. But one day, he suddenly said he wanted to be an actor. Since we don't know much about the traditional acting field, we didn't know how to help him. Still, without parental help, he changed his name and is quietly walking his own path."

Choi Sang-yeob is currently signed to Cube Entertainment, the same agency as his parents.

He has appeared in plays such as 'Love You, Mom', 'Please Fill Mimi', 'Hamlet Trial', and 'Orlando'. He has also appeared in films like 'How to Draw a Line', 'Our Neighborhood Superhero', 'AirDrop', and the KBS 1TV drama 'Cheongsanri: Reconstruction of the Battle'. He is expanding his reach into various fields, including commercials and YouTube dramas.

According to Cube Entertainment, rather than relying on his parents' influence, he hid his identity and competed solely through his acting to have his value recognized as an actor.
