Park Mi Sun gets emotional looking at Lee Bong-won: 'His eyes are just as beautiful, but I see the passage of time'

Comedian couple Park Mi Sun and Lee Bong-won took a trip alone for the first time in a long while, spending time drawing each other's portraits while facing one another. Looking slowly at the face of her spouse with whom she has shared many years, Park expressed her emotional feelings as she realized the traces of time left on him.

In the MBN variety show 'The Precious Family of Others' broadcast on the 7th, the couple was shown traveling to Gangneung and participating in various activities together.

On this day, Lee visited a workshop in Gangneung to prepare a special drawing date for his wife.

"I wanted to experience something together directly," he explained, adding, "I prepared this because Park Mi Sun usually enjoys drawing."

Park also expressed her affection for drawing.

"During the time I was ill, I spent a lot of time drawing folk paintings," she said. "I am not a professional artist, but I love it. When I am drawing, I naturally become focused and time passes really quickly."

Sitting in front of the canvas, Park smiled and revealed, "Thanks to my husband, I get to try an experience like this. Actually, my childhood dream was to be a painter."

At this, Lee also recalled his childhood dream.

"I also heard many times when I was young that I had a talent for drawing," he said. "But because my family circumstances were not well-off, I could not major in art."

The two naturally continued their conversation about the dreams they were unable to achieve.

Park reminisced, "I also wanted to major in something related to makeup in the past. I wanted to study abroad, but it wasn't easy given the circumstances at the time."

She continued calmly, "Before I got sick, I seriously considered studying art at a night university. I wanted to properly learn a field I loved, but due to health issues, I ultimately couldn't fulfill that plan."

The most impressive scene of the day was the time they spent looking at each other's faces while drawing portraits.

Park moved her brush while staring at her husband's face for a long time, beginning to discover one by one the changes she hadn't noticed before.

"His lips were thinner than I thought. His eyes are still big," she said with a laugh, adding, "However, as time has passed, his eyes have drooped a lot."

In an interview after the filming, she shared even more honest feelings.

"I don't think I have ever stared at my husband's face so intently for such a long time," Park said. "Looking at him quietly, I realized he has aged a lot."

She then calmly confessed the emotions that momentarily moved her, saying, "He was an older brother I liked in the past, but now I feel like he has become an ajusshi (middle-aged man)."

Even so, her affection for her husband remained unchanged.

"I have mentioned it many times before, but I fell for Lee Bong-won because his eyes are truly beautiful," Park said. "Even now, those eyes are still beautiful."

She then smiled, revealing the warm affection that only a couple who has been together for a long time can convey, saying, "And his cute side still remains."

While drawing the portrait, Park playfully checked her husband's reaction by asking, "How is it after looking at your Wife for so long? I've aged a lot too, right?"

Lee, hesitating for a moment before answering, laughed and said without stopping his brush, "I think I drew him too realistically."

He then replied, "But no matter how much I draw, he comes out so beautiful," which made Park smile and brought a warm atmosphere to the studio.

By looking slowly again at the face that had become familiar through a long marriage and discovering both the traces of time and unchanging charms, the couple's appearance left a lingering impression on viewers, calmly and warmly depicting the time of a couple growing old together.
