Baek Jin-hee on dating philosophy: "Once a relationship is over, it's over"

Actress Baek Jin-hee has expressed a firm stance regarding the possibility of reuniting with past lovers, candidly revealing her personal dating philosophy.

On the 22nd, a video titled "How to stay fresh during the rainy season: A trip to the jjimjilbang" was uploaded to the YouTube channel 'Jiny Is Back'. During the video, Baek enjoyed some relaxation while participating in an 'Ideal Type World Cup' segment themed around dating psychology and values.

In the video, she appeared to contemplate between choices such as "Not being able to start a relationship because of the fear of being abandoned" and "Hesitating to date due to financial burdens." Baek empathized, saying, "I heard there are many people these days who don't date to save money," adding, "It is true that dating involves spending both time and money."

She continued to share the realistic concerns felt when starting a relationship, stating, "Being abandoned is also a little bit fearful and scary."

However, she showed a clear attitude regarding her relationship with past lovers.

When presented with the questions "I can't date because my standards are too high" and "I can't start a new relationship because I want to reunite with my ex," Baek chose the former without hesitation, saying, "I don't look back at a relationship that is over." With that short but firm remark, she revealed her dating principles.

Baek's comments drew significant attention as she has experienced both public dating and a breakup. She and actor Yoon Hyun-min were loved as a representative couple in the entertainment industry while dating publicly since 2016, but they announced their breakup in 2023.
