Choi Kang Hee reveals miracle of quitting smoking after 49 years
Actress Choi Kang Hee shares how she overcame a lifelong heavy smoking habit through faith during a recent YouTube appearance.
Actress Choi Kang Hee has opened up about her personal transformation, revealing how she finally broke a long-standing smoking habit.

During an appearance on comedian Lee Seong-mi's YouTube channel, "Lee Seong-mi's Mot Ganda," on the 13th, Choi shared the story of how she recently quit smoking entirely after years of being unable to stop.
Confessing that she was once a "complete heavy smoker," she revealed that she has now been smoke-free for six months.
She admitted to relying heavily on cigarettes in the past, stating, "I smoked whenever I had the chance, and I looked for them even more when I felt anxious or awkward."
She explained that she started smoking simply to fit in with colleagues who went outside to smoke after filming, saying, "I told them, 'I know how to do it too.'" Due to a personality that tends to become deeply immersed in things once she starts, she quickly became a heavy smoker. She recalled previously giving up on the idea of quitting, thinking, "I thought I was someone who could never quit."
However, she made an extraordinary effort to change. "Whenever I felt like I was smoking for no reason, I started delaying it by saying, 'Let's smoke in a little bit,' and before I knew it, it had been six months since I last smoked. I think the dopamine from worship was stronger than dopamine. A true miracle has happened to me. I don't crave them at all now," she stated, attributing her success to the power of prayer.
She added, "I can't say this method works the same for everyone. My experience is a miracle."
Choi debuted in 1995 with the KBS drama "New Generation Report - Adults Don't Know."
