Jeon Won-joo's Son Reveals Being Teased as 'The Maid is Passing By' When Walking with His Mother

On the 9th, Jeon Won-joo visited Doseonsa Temple in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, with her son on her YouTube channel 'Jeon Won-joo-in-gong'.

In celebration of Buddha's Birthday, Jeon Won-joo visited Doseonsa to offer prayers. She expressed her deep faith, saying, "This is a place I visit whenever I feel frustrated. It feels as though the Buddha listens to all my stories. Being able to continue my career in the entertainment industry until now is also thanks to the Buddha's grace."

Recalling her years of obscurity, she added, "Whenever things weren't working out, I would pray. Then, miraculously, paths would open up," noting that her faith helped usher in her peak years.

After finishing her prayers, the mother and son went to a nearby restaurant. Jeon Won-joo's son confessed that walking with his mother was a burden during his childhood. "At the time, there were certain roles my mother played on TV, and it was difficult having our family affairs become public knowledge. Looking back now, it wasn't a big deal, but I think I took it sensitively at a young age. Even though I rarely told my mother about things happening at school, she showed up at every school event," he said, expressing his gratitude.

Jeon Won-joo recalled, "My son even hated holding hands with me. He would tell me to come a little distance away. He said his friends teased him by saying, 'The maid is passing by.' Hearing that, I vowed to become even more successful. I wanted to make sure my child wouldn't have to hear such things."

The son noted that his mother still seems to feel sorry toward him, saying, "Perhaps because we didn't spend much time together during my teenage years, she is still cautious when interacting with me. Usually, parents say everything they want to say to their children, but my mother actually watches my reaction. I know she sacrificed a lot for me. I hope she lives a long, healthy life and spends more time on herself now."

Jeon Won-joo, who recently underwent hip surgery, received a suggestion from her son on this day. His intention was for her to put her villa in Gugi-dong, where she has lived for many years, up for lease and move to an apartment equipped with an elevator.
