Seo In-young Says Money From a Revealing Photo Shoot When She Was Younger Went to Her Managers' Drinks

Singer Seo In-young opened up about the story behind a past swimsuit photo shoot that attracted attention for its bold, revealing concept.

On May 31, a video titled "A Fashion Photo Shoot After 10 Years" was released on the YouTube channel "Gaegwacheonseon Seo In-young." The video followed Seo as she returned to a fashion shoot after a long break from that kind of work.

Speaking about the photo shoot, Seo said it had been "really a long time" since she last took part in a magazine-style fashion pictorial. She looked visibly excited about the shoot and, in a playful moment, insisted that she wanted to be made the cover model.

Seo then looked back on her long career and said that, despite having been active for many years, she had only once experienced being a magazine cover model. She described it as something she had done when she was younger and brought up a memory from 17 years ago.

Recalling the shoot, Seo said she believed the swimsuit pictorial she took part in at the time had been for Cosmopolitan. She said she was paid a large amount for it, then described the styling as highly revealing, saying the swimsuit was cut out around the underwear line and up to the chest.

She added that the money from that shoot did not stay with her. According to Seo, her managers said they wanted to go out drinking, so she gave them all of the money she had received from the pictorial. She presented the episode as a moment when she treated them generously with the earnings from the shoot.

During the new shoot, an editor explained that the concept for the pictorial was "gentle woman." The editor said the look should feel very cool, while also suggesting that it might be good to include a slight amount of exposure in the styling.

Seo reacted immediately to that direction and asked whether she would have to reveal her chest. She then joked that, if she had known the shoot might involve that kind of styling, she would not have eaten gimbap. She added that she had also eaten fish cake, expressing comic regret over having had snacks before the pictorial.
