Ok Jin-wook, known to viewers for playing a school bully in the Netflix series "True Education," has signed an exclusive contract with YY Entertainment, the agency that represents singer and actor Park Ji-hoon.

On June 8, YY Entertainment announced its exclusive agreement with trot singer Ok Jin-wook and said it was pleased to work with an artist who has shown both possibility and potential across multiple fields. The company added that it would provide full support so that Ok can continue expanding his abilities in a wide range of areas.
Ok first became known to the public in 2020 through TV Chosun's trot survival program "Mr. Trot." After that appearance, he was also selected as a member of Daseotjang, the project group formed through MBC's "Favorite Entertainment."
He later began his acting career through the KBS1 daily drama "Be My Dream Family." Since then, he has built acting experience across a variety of productions, including the dramas "Cherry Blossoms After Winter," "Revenge of Others" and "Running Mate," as well as the musicals "The Creature," "The Show! Silla-Gyeongju" and "Girlfriend."
Ok recently appeared in the Netflix series "True Education," which was released on June 5. The series portrays the cathartic work of a teachers' rights protection bureau created to defend South Korea's collapsed authority of teachers and education sites from students, teachers and parents who cross the line.
In "True Education," Ok plays Jo In-beom, a school bully in the electrical department of a school made up only of troublemaking students. According to FlixPatrol, an online video service ranking tracker, the series ranked No. 3 globally on Netflix as of June 8 and is gaining popularity both in South Korea and overseas.
Going forward, Ok Jin-wook plans to focus more heavily on acting through YY Entertainment. The agency's roster includes Park Ji-hoon, Bae In-hyuk, Bae Na-ra and Lee Ju-an.
