Gong Hyo-jin reveals new Yangpyeong home after leaving Seoul

Actress Gong Hyo-jin has shared a glimpse into her new life after settling her affairs in Seoul and relocating to Yangpyeong County. Having stepped away from the urban lifestyle she maintained following her marriage, she drew significant attention by showcasing her new home in Yangpyeong, a location chosen for its proximity to nature.

On the 23rd, Gong released a video titled "Gong Hyo-jin and Lee Yeon's Moisture-Filled Yangpyeong Journey" on her YouTube channel, "Gong Hyo-jin for the Time Being." The video captures her inviting actress Lee Yeon to her Yangpyeong home to spend time together.

The revealed Yangpyeong house features an interior centered around wood tones with added Oriental elements, creating a calm yet warm atmosphere. Emphasizing the harmony between nature and space rather than extravagance, the layout caught eyes with a relaxed vibe that differs from her previous residential environment in Seoul.

While introducing the house to Lee, Gong said, "You've been wanting to come to our house."
Lee expressed her anticipation, replying, "I've wanted to come for a long time. I even want to have a BBQ party."
Gong offered a room on the second floor to Lee, explaining, "I decorated this space with Oriental beauty in mind."

Gong previously revealed that she moved to Yangpyeong this past May, stating, "I have cleared out my life in Seoul." This was not merely a temporary stay, but a complete shift in the center of her life. Her choice draws even more attention as she is an actress who has long operated based in Seoul.

She also expressed satisfaction with her life in Yangpyeong. The following day, the two visited a local restaurant, and Lee expressed her contentment, saying, "I think this is a great site for a house. I slept so well. The building is low, and why is the weather so good?"

Gong responded, "You slept soundly, right? Just being here feels like being on a trip." This implies that while it is her everyday living space, she feels an emotional leisure as if staying at a travel destination. Her choice aligns with recent residential trends of stepping back from the pace of the city to reconstruct the rhythm of life within nature.

Gong married singer Kevin Oh, who is 10 years her junior, in 2022. Since then, while continuing her work as an actress, she has communicated with the public by candidly sharing her daily life and tastes. This move to Yangpyeong is interpreted as a significant lifestyle change following her marriage.

Gong is preparing for the release of the film "The Journey to Gyeong-ju" on the 26th. "The Journey to Gyeong-ju" depicts a family revenge drama about four mothers and daughters who embark on a journey after an 8-year wait for the youngest daughter, Gyeong-ju, who disappeared during a school trip. The film stars Gong, Lee Jung-eun, Park So Dam, and Lee Yeon.
