Jang Dong-geon reveals he still shares a bed with 12-year-old daughter

Actor Jang Dong-geon revealed his devoted side as a father, sharing that he still sleeps in the same bed as his 12-year-old daughter. Contrary to the glamorous image of the top star couple, his humble parenting routine—personally managing the children's sleep and even scratching their backs—has drawn significant attention.

When asked how much he helps with childcare, Jang replied, "There isn't much that can be called heavy childcare, but I tend to help when putting the children to sleep."

He then shared an unexpected detail, stating, "Our daughter, Yoon Seol Hee, still sleeps in the same bed as us."

Jang even has his own 'secret weapon' for putting the children to sleep: scratching their backs.

"I have a secret weapon for putting the kids to sleep; if I scratch their backs, they sleep well," he said. "The kids can't seem to quit it."

It doesn't stop at just scratching their backs. Jang explained that he has even mastered his own posture and techniques to ensure the children sleep comfortably. He drew laughter when he added, "I've even developed the technique of lying on my side, supporting myself with one arm, while scratching."

However, his growing son has already 'graduated' from the 'back-scratching service.' Jang noted, "As my son Jun-hyeok grows rapidly, the surface area of his back has become too wide to scratch easily. He has graduated from it, but I was scratching my daughter's back as recently as last night."

Jang and Ko are the same age, born in 1972, and married in 2010. They welcomed a son in October of that same year and a daughter in February 2014.
