BTS's V and Jung Kook ask fans to respect privacy at hotel gyms

BTS members V and Jung Kook have requested that fans respect their privacy after encountering them at a hotel gym during their world tour.

Currently on the North American leg of their 'ARIRANG' world tour, V and Jung Kook communicated with fans via Weverse Live on the 11th (local time) following their performance in Baltimore, USA. During the livestream, the two shared an anecdote regarding their experience at a hotel gym and discussed the importance of maintaining appropriate boundaries.

According to the duo, they encountered approximately 20 fans when they visited the hotel gym at around 2:00 AM. Jung Kook noted that he rarely sees people working out at that hour while on tour, suggesting it was likely fans who had come specifically to see them.

V stated that if fans are using the hotel gym for the purpose of exercising, they are welcome to do so regardless of his presence. However, he drew a line, noting that since they are sharing the same space, it is important not to disturb one another's workouts.

Jung Kook also added, "Don't just stare; whether you're lifting dumbbells or using the gym equipment, please focus on your own posture and workout," questioning, "Isn't this our private life?" His remarks implied that even as famous artists, the time they spend resting and exercising in a private space like a hotel should be respected as normal personal life.

V also gave a joking warning, mentioning that a fan wearing green clothes was captured in a video filmed the previous day, suggesting he might release it. It was reported that the fan in question approached V to speak after Jung Kook had left the gym.

During the livestream, the two also discussed their health.

V disclosed hearing issues for the first time, stating he has experienced discomfort in his ear for about two and a half years. He explained that if his left hearing is 100, his right hearing is only about 30, and noted that he is consistently taking medication and undergoing treatment.

Jung Kook also opened up about the physical strain caused by stage performances. He explained that he is experiencing pain in his shin that is just short of a stress fracture, along with minor bone damage and severe inflammation. He lamented that while he wants to run freely during performances, he was unable to do so during certain sections due to the pain.

However, both members expressed their determination to complete the remainder of the tour as healthily as possible.

BTS is scheduled to continue their performances at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, USA, on the 15th and 16th, before taking the stage at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada, on the 22nd and 23rd.
