Former HYBE trainee Ha Jun chooses new path via GED

Ha Jun, the eldest son of actor Jung Tae-woo, is carving out a unique academic path. After completing his elementary and middle school equivalency exams, he has now finished the high school level via the GED (General Equivalency Diploma). Having previously trained as an idol trainee, interest is mounting regarding his future direction as he pivots toward a new career and academic course.

On the 11th, Jang In-hee, wife of Jung Tae-woo, shared the news of her son's achievement on SNS, stating, "Ha Jun, you worked so hard finishing your high school equivalency exam." She also shared a lighthearted anecdote from the exam day, adding, "The testing center was right in front of our house so he walked, but he turned down his dad's offer to give him a ride; if he had taken the ride, he almost would have been late."

Since his childhood, Ha Jun has garnered attention for his handsome looks, which resemble those of his father. With the revelation of his history as an idol trainee, public interest has also focused on his potential debut in the entertainment industry.

In particular, it was revealed that he prepared to become an idol while training at KOZ Entertainment, a label under HYBE founded by Zico. However, after his trainee contract ended, he took a path different from what was originally expected.

That path is pursuing his education through the GED.

Following the elementary and middle school levels, Ha Jun has now sat for the high school equivalency exam. Instead of following the standard sequential school curriculum, he has chosen to obtain his academic credentials through equivalency exams.

Given that he was preparing to enter the entertainment industry at a young age, his academic journey has been a series of unconventional choices. It appears he has been seeking a new direction between the uncertain career path of an idol trainee and the practical option of formal education.

Now that he has completed his high school equivalency, attention is focused on which career path Ha Jun will choose next. There is a possibility he may challenge himself in the entertainment industry again based on his trainee experience, or he may pursue dreams in an entirely different field.

Above all, it is meaningful that Ha Jun, who had been preparing to enter the entertainment industry since his childhood, completed his studies in his own way outside of the traditional school system. His parents also appear to be respecting and supporting his choices.

Jung Tae-woo married Jang In-hee, a former flight attendant, and they have two sons.
