ITZY member Ryujin has addressed recent controversy regarding her actions while adjusting her stage outfit during a performance, offering an explanation and an apology to fans.

The discussion comes as ITZY's 2019 track 'THAT'S A NO NO' regains significant popularity, with its YouTube fancam views surpassing 3.61 million.

On the 11th, ITZY met local fans at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, Philippines, for their third world tour, 'ITZY 3RD WORLD TOUR '. During the concert, the group performed hits including 'GOLD', 'Wild Wild West', 'Mafia In the morning', and 'THAT'S A NO NO'.

A fancam of Ryujin during the 'THAT'S A NO NO' encore performance specifically drew intense online attention.

In the video, Ryujin is seen performing in a crop top and low-rise shorts. Due to the intense choreography, her outfit appeared to ride up repeatedly, and toward the end of the performance, she was captured reaching into her pants to adjust them.

While some viewers criticized the moment as inappropriate, many fans defended her, citing wardrobe malfunctions. Reactions included, "How uncomfortable must the outfit have been for her to do that?", "It was an inevitable action to finish the performance," and "The styling was disappointing.'

Following the online discourse, Ryujin addressed the situation directly during a live broadcast with fans.

"The jumpsuit kept riding up and it was very painful," she explained, adding, "It was a spontaneous action I did without much thought just to pull the outfit down in the moment."

Reflecting on the footage, she noted, "Looking back at the video later, I felt it was something that could be misunderstood. It looked like I was using my hands more than I intended."

Ryujin concluded with an apology: "I have received contact from many people and encountered various opinions. I am sorry for causing worry and discomfort by behaving that way on stage. I will be more careful during future performances."

ITZY is continuing its world tour, with upcoming stops in Macau this August, followed by Taipei, London, Amsterdam, Paris, Frankfurt, and Singapore.
