Jennie debuts bold short hair look for new EP 'Fallen Angel'
Blackpink's Jennie reveals striking new concept photos and announces the physical release of her upcoming EP 'Fallen Angel'.
As Blackpink's Jennie undergoes a bold transformation with a striking short hair style, anticipation for her solo career is soaring following the confirmed release of the physical version of her new EP, 'Fallen Angel'.

On the 24th at 9 AM, Jennie released the concept photos and release details for the physical EP 'Fallen Angel' via her official SNS. Pre-orders are scheduled to begin on the 26th at 11 AM.
The released concept photos highlight Jennie's revamped appearance. The imagery spans various moods, from black-and-white shots featuring her short hair paired with ornate, jewel-encrusted outfits to intense shots in a vibrant red dress. Notably, the black-and-white photos drew significant attention by featuring the lyric, “i'm searching, i'm searching, i'm searching for a lover.” Other photos also utilized sentence-style captions, suggesting that 'Fallen Angel' is building a cohesive narrative that extends beyond the music.
The physical EP will feature a total of six songs, including the title track 'FALLEN ANGEL', alongside 'Less than a Lover', 'sweettooth', 'lockitdown', 'Face', and 'HEAVEN'.
Among these, 'sweettooth', 'lockitdown', and 'Face' are tracks personally selected by Jennie for her fans and will be available exclusively on the physical EP. In particular, 'Face' is a new song being unveiled for the first time through this album, serving as a key differentiator from the previous digital release.
The previously released digital EP, 'Fallen Angel (Digital EP)', consisted of three songs: 'FALLEN ANGEL', 'HEAVEN', and 'Less than a Lover'. Following cover art featuring a flower field and a white dress, the released trailer established the album's aesthetic direction by presenting a fairy-tale atmosphere and snippets of new music.
Prior to this album release, Jennie has maintained a heavy presence on the global stage. This year, she headlined seven major global festivals and performed for local audiences in Tokyo and Osaka at Japan's premier music festival, 'Summer Sonic 2026'. She has bolstered interest in the new album by performing unreleased tracks alongside her existing solo hits like 'Mantra' and 'like JENNIE'.
'Less than a Lover', released last July, established her dominance in both domestic and international music markets, hitting No. 1 on the Bugs real-time chart, No. 10 on Melon 'HOT100', No. 6 on Apple Music 'TOP100', and No. 3 on Spotify's popular songs. Her collaboration with Tame Impala, 'Dracula', also spent a total of 11 weeks in the top 10 of the US Billboard 'HOT 100' and held the top spot for five consecutive weeks on the US Mediabase 'Hot AC Radio' chart.
Jennie will release the new digital EP 'Fallen Angel (Digital EP)' on the 28th at 1 PM, ahead of the physical album. With both a physical transformation and a new musical direction, all eyes are on how Jennie will continue to expand her identity as a global pop artist.
