2AM's Jo Kwon shared a touching update regarding his pet dog, Gaga, who is currently battling metastatic cancer. His decision to remain a steady presence by the dog's side to maintain a sense of normalcy, even as medical options dwindle, has deeply moved fans.

On the 20th, Jo Kwon shared updates on Gaga's health via social media, stating, “I have plenty of time, but it feels like Gaga's time is constantly running out faster.”

In the photos shared by Jo Kwon, Gaga appeared noticeably thin. Jo Kwon explained that after Gaga was diagnosed with intestinal cancer a year ago, the dog underwent two major surgeries and six rounds of chemotherapy injections, followed by ongoing oral chemotherapy.

However, a new challenge has emerged during the treatment process. Jo Kwon shared, “A month ago, the cancer metastasized to the bladder, making further surgery difficult. I am doing my best to ensure it doesn't get any worse.”

Jo Kwon's affection for Gaga has been frequently highlighted on various broadcasts. For the singer, his pet has been a source of comfort, filling the void felt between his life on stage and his daily routine. While appearing on Sunwoo Yong-nyeo's channel last April, he opened up about the tens of millions of won in medical expenses incurred during Gaga's hospitalization, as well as a previous experience involving another pet in a car accident.

Currently, Jo Kwon's approach is simple. He aims to maintain the daily routine they have shared for 14 years as much as possible so that Gaga does not become overly aware of his condition.

“To avoid showing my distress to Gaga, I walk with him every day just as I have for 14 years, feed him with care, apply his eye drops, and tell him I love him every night,” he revealed.

Gaga's vision is also gradually failing. “His eyes are gradually going blind, so a day will come when he cannot see me, but I pray that he stays with the people who remember him for a long time,” Jo Kwon said.

He added, “Perhaps we are learning how to love while watching that short life, and I hope to do my best so that there are no regrets.”
