Former Jewelry member Jo Min A shares her journey of overcoming massive debts to become a top-selling insurance professional.
Jo Min A, a former member of the girl group Jewelry, has revealed her past of working relentlessly to pay off debts and her subsequent success in the insurance industry.

On the 1st, a video was released on the YouTube channel 'Seo In-young's Redemption,' featuring Seo In-young visiting Jo Min A's home to share her story.
Currently working as an insurance planner, Jo Min A introduced herself as "the current insurance king, Jo Ha-rang," stating, "When I first asked the company, they said I could earn about 3 million won a month. But for me, 3 million won wasn't enough because I had debts to pay."
Jo Min A shared the story of how she had to handle her family's debts since her childhood. She revealed, "I have been paying off my father's debts for a long time since I was young. After marriage, my ex-husband took out a loan using my house as collateral, and upon divorce, I ended up taking on that debt as well."
She continued, "I wanted to clear the debt quickly, so I worked from the moment I opened my eyes until the moment I fell asleep. I didn't even rest on Sundays. I endured it with the thought that I had to do it."
She also disclosed the reason she started working in insurance. Jo Min A recalled, "At first, I was going to do yogurt delivery. I started after seeing an advertisement related to support for single-parent families, but when I returned home after finishing the morning delivery, my child had crawled to the shoe rack and was crying."
She explained, "The child had woken up while I was away. I felt so sorry that I quit after just one day. Later, I posted my resume on Albamon, and I received a call from my current company, which led me to start working in insurance."
Despite the difficult circumstances, Jo Min A's efforts led to significant results. She surprised many by revealing, "I have been the insurance king 22 times. I have even ranked first in nationwide sales."
She added with a laugh, "My annual salary is in the hundreds of millions, but since insurance is based on a commission structure, there are differences every month. My company describes me as 'someone who would sell a water purifier even in the desert and become the king of water purifiers.'"
Moving beyond her past entertainment career to carve out a new path, Jo Min A drew attention by honestly sharing the challenges she chose to face to overcome the heavy realities of family and debt, and the achievements she gained in the process.
