Seo In-young Faces Diet Emergency Before Waterbomb: "After Seeing Cho Min-ah's Abs, I Want to Cancel"
Seo In-young shared her Waterbomb diet worries after visiting Cho Min-ah, whose lean meals, abs and jump-rope routine left her stunned.
Seo In-young, a singer and former member of the group Jewelry, has opened up about starting weight management ahead of her appearance at the summer music festival Waterbomb. After seeing the firm abs and daily workout routine of Cho Min-ah, another former Jewelry member, Seo repeatedly expressed amazement and turned her renewed determination to diet into a moment of laughter.

In a video released on July 1 on the YouTube channel "Reformed Seo In-young," Seo visited the home of Cho Min-ah, her longtime colleague and former fellow Jewelry member. The two women talked about a wide range of subjects, from memories of their past activities together to the details of their current everyday lives, showing that their friendship has remained unchanged over time.
During the visit, Seo looked inside Cho's refrigerator and could not hide her surprise at how simply it was stocked. Cho, who is currently balancing several jobs, including work as an insurance planner and the operation of cooking classes, explained, "I make every meal for my son myself." She added, "Even when I go to the company, I prepare a lunchbox to save on meal costs. When I eat a lunchbox, my body feels much lighter and healthier."
The lunchbox Cho showed was built around a high-protein, low-calorie diet, including apples, carrots, chicken breast and boiled eggs. She also made clear that steady control of her meals is one of the secrets behind maintaining her current figure.
After hearing about Cho's eating habits, Seo said in admiration, "You are really so thin." Cho then said, "I exercise every morning," and showed her abs. Seo, visibly stunned by the clearly defined muscles, joked, "I have a Waterbomb performance coming up in August, so please trade bodies with me even just for one day." She added, "I do not want to shake off belly fat. I want to shake off the whole body itself," making everyone at the scene burst into laughter.
Cho responded by encouraging her, saying, "There is still time until August, so it is definitely possible," and introduced her own workout method. She chose jump rope as the key to maintaining her abs, explaining, "In the past, I did 3,000 jumps a day, and now, because I do not have enough time, I do about 1,000." She added, "Even 3,000 jumps take only about 35 minutes." Cho also said she has since moved to a piloti-style home with no downstairs neighbor beneath her, allowing her to continue exercising without worrying about inter-floor noise.
After listening to the explanation, Seo tried jumping rope herself, but she quickly became exhausted by an intensity that was higher than she expected. Unable to continue for more than a few jumps and catching her breath, she said, "This exercise is much harder than I thought," then jokingly pleaded, "Please cancel Waterbomb," drawing more laughter.
When the production crew teasingly said it was not Waterbomb but "belly-fat night," Seo shouted back, "I will definitely lose it. Just wait and see," pledging that she would succeed with her diet.
Seo recently drew attention through her YouTube channel when, while sharing news of her remarriage, she revealed that she had received an offer to appear at Waterbomb. At the time, she said, "Being married does not mean I cannot stand on the Waterbomb stage," adding, "I am not pregnant now, and I am preparing to go on stage," making clear her strong commitment to the performance.
The latest video drew interest from fans by showing both Seo's realistic concerns about managing her figure before taking the stage and Cho's steady self-care know-how. In particular, the two stars shared witty banter and candid glimpses of daily life based on a friendship built over many years, creating natural laughter and relatable moments.
