Ahn Young-mi Welcomes Second Son After Declaring 'No Overseas Birth'
Ahn Young-mi gave birth to her second son in Seoul, with her agency confirming both mother and baby are healthy.
Korean comedian Ahn Young-mi has welcomed her second child, a son, after previously drawing attention over questions about where she would give birth.

On June 26, her agency, Media Lab Seesaw, said that Ahn gave birth to her second son on June 25 at a hospital somewhere in Seoul. The announcement confirmed that the delivery took place in Korea.
According to the agency, both the mother and the baby are currently in good health. Ahn is resting and recovering with warm congratulations and care from her husband and other family members.
Media Lab Seesaw asked the public to send support to the family as they welcome the new baby. The agency said, "We ask for warm congratulations and encouragement for Ahn Young-mi and her family as they welcome this precious new life. After taking enough time to recover, Ahn Young-mi plans to return to broadcasting in good health and show a positive appearance."
Ahn married a non-celebrity in 2020 and gave birth to her first son in July 2023. With the latest birth, she has now become the mother of two sons.
When Ahn gave birth to her first son in the United States, allegations were raised that it was an overseas birth intended to help the child avoid future military enlistment. After that controversy, some questioned whether she would also give birth to her second child in the United States.
In response, her agency had made clear that the place of birth would be domestic and said that Ahn's husband, who lives in the United States, was scheduled to return to Korea. The June 25 delivery in Seoul followed that earlier explanation.
